Fj60/62 Rear Hatch Lock Housing (1 Viewer)

I am on the lookout for a rear hatch housing, probably the fourth since I have owned by rig of almost 400K miles. Just found one and as soon as I tried to install my lock cylinder, the tabs broke.

Anyone find a solution that is other than replacing a 30 year old part with another 30 year old part? Considering taking it to someone with a TIG welder but wondering if someone has conquered this problem already.
