I have seen the piece normally used for the windshield rubber used on the cargo window. There is a need to cut the piece to make it fit. I good auto glass installer can do it.I'm in line for the tailgate, rear cargo windows and anything else you come up with !! Keep us posted !

It works OK but you have to cut the rubber at each corner of the window to make it fit. It isnt perfect but works well enough for a piece that doesn't exist anymore (untill now)
That being said I will still buy the Cargo Window Rubber and a Upper Tailgate Rubber as soon as they are available.
Thanks for making these strange parts available for us few wierdos that decide to restore these things.

I just noticed in the current TT (page 30) an ad by Cabe Toyota in Long Beach, CA for FJ55 cargo weatherstrips $115 for one or $220/pair and FJ55 Tailgate upper for $219.95. Anyone familiar with/seen these?
It is rumored that that's where PV Cruisers stock went (very possible since he was located in that area) and if they are advertizing then that's what I'd bet. That's a good price to so don't delay 'cause I bet when they're gone......

Did say that he had the upper. But then he said I could come pick it up...guess he did not comprehend New Mexico. I'd be prone to sticking with John personally...but it intriqued me.
Which one is the tailgate upper?

Seth at PV Cruisers was selling the piece that goes into the body which holds the window from rattling SOR 138-03. John is selling the piece that clips to the top of the tailgate and runs down the tailgate sides SOR 138-38. Two DIFFERENT pieces and both needed for piggys everywhere!!

As per my description to the parts guy: the upper is the strip along the top of the body that the glass goes up into.
John has two tailgate pcs (upper and the one on the tailgate pc itself...not inclusive of the inner glass tracks or the two pcs where the tailgate meets the body). Anyway, per Johns site the upper is currently on back order.
Main problem is...I am not sure about the parts guy I was talking with. He had a lot of stuff going on in the background and seemed well, a bit confused.

Upper: Body/frame above the tailgate where the glass slides up.
Just talked to Herb there at Cabe and yes, they have Seths stuff...both Cargo and Upper.
Charles, John has both the upper and TG wrap around both but his site lists the upper (tailgate window) as on back order. Or as John refers to them here as tailgate window and upper tailgate.

And so, john has both of those pcs...but not as they are marked not in stock currently.
Does anyone know if someone has #12? That would be the weatherstrip that seals the tailgate to the truck body.
I was unaware that John also had the window weatherstrip for the tailgate (part #3).

Hate some of those pictures...so that is what 12 is? I just have two pcs on the uprights of the body there...don't know if they are original. I kept playing a trick with my mind and thinking 12 was for the access...3 sides is all I have left there
