FJ55 Dash Ideas? - Show me what you've got

I'm wanting to gather ideas for renewing my dash/cockpit. I have two 55's neither of which have dash pads and I'm not sure I even have a good glove box cover between them so I'm looking for ideas. I'm not going the full restoration path so that isn't important. I'm just looking for some cool ideas within the context of the FJ55.

I'm likely going to do modern gauges and such so show me what you've done.

I know on the Fj40 side there's all sorts of ideas and I'm looking for some on the 55 side.

I have a dash in terrible condition in my rig, okay gauges and glove box. I am wrapping all of them in leather when the time comes. Havn't seen it done yet but I think it will look good.

i have one of those plastic dash caps i will sell ya...having dash redone...it fit in my 72 pretty good

when you said, you're having the dash redone, what does that mean. Do you know somebody, who restores them. I need help with mine.

yes sir ron...got a guy in topeka...he is crazy good...he has my seats right now...door panels next...than i am taking it up to him to put in the new headliner and take care of the dash....i could pm you his info if you like

Hey guys, hope this isnt too much of a grave dig...

Has anyone put a 60series dash in a pig? I'm looking to do a diesel conversion (if my pig purchase pans out) and would REALLY like the tacho... The 60 dash is very similar to a 55 but with the tacho in the center. I had planned on transplanting the tacho from my BJ42 across..

depend on the duct work behind the dash and how much you're willing to either cut into it or bump the head-up display out...it's really tight right there with the wheel and the dash and your fingers...
