Curious is the cruiser still around. I have an 82 frame and tub. It can from the Southeast and spent time on the beach. The rust is unusual compared to other cruisers I've seen over the years. Most appears in areas sand was allowed to collect. Only real pitting on the frame is at the front. I see the carpet in the back and white on the inside of the left ambulance door across the top and bottom. So how did it survive?

So how did it survive is a long story.
The sand and salt did pretty good on the wheel wells and rear floor. The interstate rollover took care of the hood, top and both front fenders plus the rollbar.
Good news is all is well, except the fact it hasn’t been on the road for 10 plus years.
No rot to the frame from all the fun in the sun.
Hope to soon be back on the road.
As she sit today.
Had a dye job.

Nice pic, thanks for sharing mate!

Well, this was my first love back in the eighties:
the Land Cruiser was not imported to Greece, just the British 4wheelers and some unknown little Japanese...
Ours was a 1980 LJ80 with the "big" 0.8 liter/800-cc, 4-cylinder, 4-stroke engine (the small was a 0,55 liter/550-cc, 3-cylinder, 2-stroke engine).
Pic taken in 1982: me, then a student, driving the lovely beast. Loved the Bridgestone tyres too: 6.00-16, like in the Willys MB...

PS. 15 years later, Land Cruisers still banned from entering the country, did upsacale to the Daihatsu F20/Toyota Blizzard...

Just found this old pic taken the day my girlfriend and I brought the LC home from the dealership in June 1972. Still have the girl, still have the Cruiser!

Holy cow! I just noticed the window sticker from the dealer is still there in the back window! Never noticed that before. I still have that too.
