Yeah, looks like you've done a great build up! I like your rig!

Never done

I've got some work to do as always. Need an additional radiator fan. I need a pusher. That fan keeps it cool under normal circumstances, but with high rpm assaults, it gets hot.

Oh, and all these 4 link buildups are killing me.

Front Diff Protection/Led's

What do you think about my front turn signals. i just tack welded them in place.

Oh, and a close up of my finished diff cover.

I like these two pics.

My wife likes these pictures.

This pond goes from real shallow, to 44" boggers being stuck.

Keep your fingers crossed.

I had a guy stop by the house yesterday wanting to buy my 4 wheeler.

I haven't been trying to sell it, but I told him if he brings the cash he can have it. May or may not happen, no big deal either way.

But, Keep your fingers crossed. If it sells, there will be a new set of 44" tires along with a big ass hydraulic winch bolted onto this thing. Along with a new set of 5.13 gears.

so dude offerred me cash for my eagle tsi so i sold it to buy parts for the 40. hope it works out for you to:cheers:

A few new picks

Here's a few pics on our way to go fishing today.

It got real ugly a few hours after these pics. I didn't get any pics, but let's just say my cruiser will not go through holes dug out by a backhoe.

Dont get the hydro winch, if the truck is drowned out it wont work. The 12000 Mile Marker I once owned was not even as stout at a 9500Warn either.

I am moving back to MS and I need to build a mud truck.

Overall, how does the 40 do compared to your buddy's rigs? Is it too heavy?

I would like to build a 40 pretty muck like yours but with a rear 4 link so reduce hopping.

Buddy's Heep

My buddy's heep is badass. 4 link was done by Off Road Connection (ORC) in Gardendale Alabama. If you've seen the Peterson Ultimate Adventure's, Keith Bailey owns ORC. It absolutely goes awesome. Better than alot of local tube buggies. It has done stuff some $50,000 Bruiser chassis will not.

But he's got some change in this one to. New 44 inch Bogger/TSL, all 1350 or 1410 u- joints, and a big shaft kit in the Dana 300. So it does not have many weak points anymore. Trust me, the 44 inch tires found all the weak points quickly. All if one day as a matter of fact.

You can go to www.nocrybabies4x4.com and check out the rigs page. It's the white heep. Big Lunch is his nickname.

As far as the hydro winch, I will be running it off a PTO, or a clutch operated pump. Lots of hydro winches are not as stout as they should because they do not get enough PSI, or GPM. Trust me, max out the PSI and up the GPM, and it will pull, and plenty fast. Factory power steering is about 1200 PSI, with max on a Milemarker being 1500. I've talked to them about an industrial winch, and they are working on a badass winch. I may just have to wait.

Hydro Winch

Oh, about drowning out. If my cruiser drowns out, my day will involve a wrecker anyway, or at least a couple of trucks. It's tall and you can run a Chevy V8 to the distributor before it'll quit.

Anyway, alot of folks don't like the hydro winch, so that's what I wanna run. If electric motor were that good, bulldozers and backhoe's would have electric motors instead of hydraulic cylinders. Or cars would have electric brakes.

J.R.

That was my line of thinking. We have them on our dozers and I used them on the vehicles I drove in the military.

Trust me, they are not as good as Warn electric winches. I am just giving you some friendly advice from someone with a lot of experience with both.

I would like to have both.

I would really like to have both. Hydro up front and electric on back. I have no luck with electrical stuff. Then, I'll need a hotter alternator, dual batteries, etc. I've just seen trucks broke waaaay down hills, and electric winches just getting too hot and quitting. Hydro will just run and run and run. But not off the power steering pump. The fluids starts getting hot and the power steering pump will start roaring.

I've had friends with PTO and electrics. The PTO is great and strong but can be a pain sometimes. But for what we do, I would rather have the PTO. So, I'm gonna compromise and get the hydro eventually.

Thanks for the input. But I'm too stubborn.

Surgery

Having to do some work to the cooling of the cruiser. I bought a pusher fan. Had some trouble with it, but I think I got it going now.

May have to alter the grill to get it back on, we'll just have to see.

Front grill

Can't fit the front grill back in with the new fan. :frown: I am going to buy some expanded metal and weld on the backside of the tube around the headlights. Fan and power steering cooler need some protection.

Then I can put my Toyota emblem back on. :)

Here's a pic (mud included) of my new location for my power steering cooler.

Power steering cooler installed

Here's the final pics of the power steering cooler/pusher fan install.

I got the power steering located in front of the pusher pan, and it pulls through it pretty well. The cooler will hold a piece of paper up against it from the draft. We'll see how it does.

New grill

I decided to weld some expanded metal inside my bezel. Also put a piece along the bottom to cover the power steering cooler.

New pusher fan would not clear the stock grill. I didn't have room to move the radiator back either, so the grill had to go.

Also posted a pic of the new pusher fan relay. All red wires to confuse people. You can see the other painless wiring relay for my puller fan.

Trac Bar/Ladder Bar

Finally got my lazy ass down to the shop this afternoon to start working on my trac bar. I've been talking about for months.

Will have to take the cruiser back to the muffler shop. The trac bar was hitting the right muffler.

Sawzall=no more muffler.

Here's a few pics. Just got everything barely in there taking measurements.

1.25 x .120 dom tubing. Weld in bungs with 3/4 x 16 heim joints. Heims have spacers on both sides. I bought my axle plates from Off Road Connection.
Good deal for $20.00.

I still have to figure out how to attach shackle to the skid plate. I've changed my mind several times.

Boggers

I traded my wore out 39.5 tires for a equally wore out set of 44" boggers. My 39.5 had rock rash real bad. The 44" tires were run on the road, so the outer lugs are still in good shape.

We broke the 44's off the rims yesterday. I broke down my beadlocks today and got a few mounted and on the cruiser.

I ordered a set of Motive 5.13 gears, I am picking them up in the morning.

I wanted to go ahead and order a Detroit for the front, but didn't want to order the 30 spline. I think I will just wait until I have a axle problem. I will upgrade to 35 spline and Detroit then.

I'm running a 1310 u-joint up front now, so it will probably give before anything else. It's a cheap and easy fix.

First two pics are just to show the difference in size of the 39.5's and 44's
The third pic is one of the 44" Boggers next to my 265/75/16 tires on my truck.
