Does anyone have any knowledge or experience with respect to if Fj cruiser wheels will fit on 80 series? The bolt pattern is the same the hub is slightly larger at 108mm but I'm not sure about the offset. I like the 18" wheel versus the stock 16".

Do a quick search. TONS of info on this.

Quick answer. They will work, but you will want to run spacers (1" minimum) since they will bring your track width in a bit. BTW, the fj cruiser wheels are 17", not 18. At least all the ones I have seen.

I ran my FJC 17" rims with stock Michelins and i didn't need a spacer. Bolted right up and ran the past summer

Have fj cruiser wheels on my 96 fzj80. If u want the center caps to fit u will need about 1.75" spacers to clear the hubs. 1.5" might be enough, but 1.75" is my plan.

My mistake, I had intended to type 17", thanks for the correction.

There are many styles out there and posted on this forum. I have the late version and I painted them black. I also used 1 1/2" spacers to flush out with the flares.

How is the clearance when getting tucked in?

The wheels just tuck inside the wheel well and I have minor rubbing on full flex. I think if I could change spacers, I would go with 1 1/4" but I am not too concerned about it. In the picture below, I have pretty good stuff on the front and I did not rub.

Thanks

I have the 16" FJ's wheels and the look awesome even without the center caps. They are a bit narrower than the OEM on the 80 (About 0.5") but they work for me since I'm not planing to get tires bigger than 33" (not sure if the width of the rim will affect on bigger tires)

Get them, you will love them

By the way, in my case I didn't put spacer because I like to look of a narrower tire

Before and after wheel spacers (1.5") with the steel FJ wheels.

I found my wheels on Ebay. If you use 1-1/4" or larger spacers, you will be fine, anything smaller will require grinding the wheel studs. You will not need to replace with longer ones. HTH

looks xcellent.

Thanks! They do get a lot of rock rash due to the flush spoke design and I have to touch them up after every wheelin' trip, so don't powdercoat them, rattle can for sure.

HIJACK ON

What tires are those, never seen em before.

HIJACK OFF.

They are the new Goodyear MTR I believe.

Why would you have to grind the wheel studs with a standard 1" spacer?
