He bought a BJ42 as a parts vehicle. If it's the mounts that attach to the frame you are after a member Awl_Teq used to make them. Maybe check with him to see if he still has some kicking around
 
Ya, I'm thinking the same thing - might as well tacl it into place and be done with it. 1 inch of good weld holds 60K pounds - or something like that.
Still tight as of today, 'bout 40K miles.

Well you said earlier in your thread that "If one bought an engine (which I did) and was gonna mount it up without another car to measure (also my case) it would be tough, if not impossible." So I'm kinda scared. :eek:
Right Now I'm trying to figure out the trans cross member angles and measurements (not present on my fj) so I thought a picture of the stock one could be helpful even if it's just to give me a better idea of the way Toyota originally planed things. :D
Try Dan at 4wheel auto in Canada, was able to get me engine and trans mount from a BJ 40.
