Fixing messed up heater core lines

So about every vehicle I have ever worked on with a 22r/re/rte has had jacked up water lines behind the head - See the picture below of the brass lines - they always leak some and look like junk. Since I have the head off my 4runner, I would like to fix them. I had an idea about using something like this cheap tailpipe expander, but haven't really found something that is the correct size - although I haven't spent that much time looking. It might also be hard to replicate the rolled edge at the end.

I guess if they leak, they leak - I just really don't want to pull my heater core out if I don't have to.
Any body done this?
 
I’m not sure that you’d find a tailpipe expander small enough. I’d use an appropriately-sized metal rod to work the tubing back to round.
