So my first trip to Moab I just broke the passenger side birfield. The front axle is from a 76 FJ40. Anyone know where I can get one in town???? View attachment 882411

try the "Moab 4x4 Outpost" shop at the south end of town (left turn off the main drag) - last time I was there, they had all kinds of spares, and a guy working there who has a 40 himself

I carry fully pre-assembled/moly'ed birf/axle shaft assemblies as spares - have been ridiculed for years, until they came in handy:

I have a stock 1985 mini truck birf if that will work on your FJ40? I am in Grand Junction if someone can make the trip here to pick it up in the morning.
