Thought I would reach out to my mud family! My favorite 16 pound cat( Quint) came in last night with a broken legšŸ™ They had to amputate due to the damage.. just want to know some good results of 3 leg cats living a good normal life!! He is doing well, considering what he has been through!

Hate to see that Brian. But he should do fine after a lil recovery and adjustment time. Have lived with 2 amputee kitties both before and after their accidents and they both did great. Got around and adapted amazingly well.

No cat experience, but dog was fine for 16+ years with only one rear leg. Tough enough to catch squirrels with only three legs too. Kitty will be just fine.

My son and his vet-tech girlfriend have fostered amputee (tripod) kittens. They have all done really well and adapted fast. Heck, your’s is probably doing much better since you posted Saturday ;)

Sorry to hear about it Brian.
He couldn't ask for better care and dad than you. Hope the lovely kitten will recover soon!
Best wishes
Demetrios

Quint is doing great! He is so long haired, you cant even tell his leg is missing. It really didnt change his daily life, the hardest part is seeing him struggle occasionally getting up on the couch and obviously is not as nimble.
