I`m sad to hear about Bob passing, he was a good dude indeed. I had the opportunity to meet him when I used to live in Colorado and was part of the Rising Sun club. I used to lead the annual "40's Only Run" from 2007 till 2014 when I relocated to IA. Rising Sun is still continueing the tradition and the Horsetooth 4 Wheelers have had folks participate many times. I'm glad Bob's 40 and his spirit are still on the trail.

Bob's (your 40) is the 4th from the right. Good times.

Looking forward to meeting you at Cruise Moab and seeing the 40 again.
Thanks for the pictures Martin! I've added them to our album of everything Bob. We'll be camped at the race track for CM, look for the Overland Cruisers rigs, the shop is closed that week and we're all going. Please come say hello!

Got more moab prep done today. Adjusted Orion shift linkage, got the front locker working, adjusted the parking brake, set the timing it was way advanced, set the idle, replaced spark plugs. Runs even better than last weekend, goes 65 on the flat ground easily.

The wife and I packed up last week and bombed down for Cruise Moabe and oh man what a blast that was. We ran 7 mile rim, Hells Revenge, Fins and Things, Kane Creek Canyon, and Metal Masher. IT WAS A BLAST

I just received a letter in the mail from Judy informing me of his death. I moved out of the area years ago and did not hear of his passing. We always send a Christmas card to Bob and Judy wrote me back this year. I think the last time I got to see Bob in person was 2019 on a trip back to Fort Collins. This really saddens me, I knew he was battling cancer, but dang he was a great guy and the gateway for my family into Land Cruisers and offroading. There were many great days on the trail shared with Bob, he will not be forgotten.
