Thanks for the reply Shane, going to try and get in on the group buy for a Shasta, have a pooch too and that makes more sense although I really like the idea of a roof mounted pop-up.

I get that some folks want the look, heck I love the look. But it just doesn't work for us. You loose so much being able not to sit up on your knees, crawling over your pillows, loss of storage and no annex room. And you loose the ability to use a side of the rack for entry.

Also the veranda is great. Privacy and cuts the wind down greatly.

what awning did you go with?

btw finally got the leather installed almost a year to the day I bought it from you! with the seat heaters too, brings a smile to my face evertime I open the door and smell and see it!

Mine never had heaters so I bought the whole enchilada from Shane including a new cushion for the drivers side and used es300 switches

Heat a way to go. I just love the back heat, I could care less about the seat.

Also the FoxWing is the best in my mind. One man operation and if wont crash into your truck if the guy rope fails.

My Grandmother what big teeth you have!

My Grandmother what big EARS you have!

Good lookin' doggie!

Heat is flipping awesome especially the back, used again this morning and LOVE IT. I must say the job of doing leather can be equated at times to wrestling 3 hobbits in the dark and I used, or should I say ruined, tons of hog rings along the way with some chocie wordage but overall it's the best thing I've done yet in terms of payoff, look, and making me smile. Good looking dog too, here's a pic of the one I'm sharing my place with.

I don't. I paid my tech to do it on the side. I didn't think it through very well as we've been relocating. Each of the last trips I doubled up on my vehicles to get them over the mountain. So I was thinking 2 days max and it was 4. I had a '66 FST and a '67 Malibu in my garage and not very good for shagging parts. Needless to say I was stranded for days. Sad to call your buddy to take you to get milk.

However, we are moved after 7/8 weeks and countless trips with trucks, trailers, Penske 26' box truck. Moving sucks!

I installed a couple prototype mounts today.

-MaxTrax drop mount. Fully adjustable height.

-MaxTrax / Rotopax combo mount.
