Yeah I have the full kits. I used to include them in my dual battery kits. They’re the same price as Phil’s site, $38 shipped.

🧐 Hmm
So your kit is the exact same as @LandCruiserPhil kit ?

His site says there available

I know that if things are out of stock Phil post that on his site. And even if he’s unavailable his wife ships out the product.
I also know he’s a stand up guy and Folks can buy with confidence.

Sorry for the confusion. I used to make dual battery kits and with my kit I included LCP’s genuine battery hold down kits. I bought them from Phil and just have leftover stock that isn’t needed anymore. I happened to be going thru boxes today and found them as this thread popped up so mentioned I have some too if anybody is looking.

No worries, thanks for the clarification.
Looking forward to meeting you sometime and hitting some trails.

Can you take a picture of the full kit?
I don’t need the cable, that conversion has already been done to my cruiser. I just really need the bracket to hold the battery down.

Do you happen to know what length J hooks you purchased with this bracket? My FZJ80's are 750 miles away from me right now :)
I have these tie downs and you can pretty much figure out the needed length by measuring from the bottom of the battery box to the top of your battery and then add an inch or so to clear the top of the cross bracket and have threads left for the nuts and washers.

https://a.co/d/dQG5yUJ is the amazon link (just searched my orders). So, 11" long. I'm not sure if I then cut them down (probably did) to fit 'optimally'.

I also removed and modified both my battery trays (OEM) and installed steel rods underneath that the J hooks catch on. No way the fiberglass will ever rip again :)

I'll look from some pics of my 'mods'.

cheers,
george.

Ok, found some pics, from these you can see the tie down I used and the j-hooks and how I reinforced the j-hook mounting points.

So, this is the passenger side, but it's the same scheme on the driver's side. I installed a 100AH lifepo4 as my 'aux' battery along with a charger that can take input from the alternator/main battery or a solar panel (with mppt).

This is the final install look, battery not yet wired up.

Here can be seen the rear j-hook and the front steel rod that the front j-hook will capture. I slotted the case to the side of the ridge, this way the j-hook will not rub on the battery since at most it will rub against the rib. Also provides maximum depth for the battery.

Picture of the rear rod for the rear j-hook and how the front rod goes through for the front j-hook. The 'glue' is actually bondo resin impregnated into fiberglass cloth. These rods are going no-where. I also used the resin and fiberglass cloth to repair some cracks and missing bits in the OEM battery box from years of 'wear and tear'. Then sprayed black to look 'factory'. The 3 picture from the top where the 'factory grommet is for the wiring to enter into the battery area was completely broken away and it has been totally 'rebuilt'. Picture after the spray paint.
