I'm interested in the Line-X (or rhinoline) that you did recently. Any comments/pics about that?

I was constantly ripping the vinyl cladding strips off the truck...well it wasn't actually me it was all the tough sage plants so prevalent out here :D. Taking, as mentioned a few threads back, Loud's initiative I did the same thing by having LineX installed. Works great. IMO it even looks good. It was also a convenient time to have a few body dents fixed.

Hey Dan,
How much did those 15 little suckers cost you?

Retail is $119 per. They would have been cheaper before the run in with the bobwar fence

Almost all of my "need" for more light is in the fall and winter hunting season when I find myself hi-tailing it back to camp or motel on dirt roads after a long day on the mountain chasing birds around. Otherwise for my overlanding stuff I could have gotten by...

I know he was toying with aircraft landing lights at one point! Try following him when he's 'making pace' offroad. He goes faster towing his KK than I go without anything! I've seen a demo of those lights - you can't describe it in words and pictures don't do them justice.

One of the best built-up/thought-out Hundy's out there and Dan does not wimp his truck....I've done two extended trips with him this past year and he beats the snot out of it and it keeps on comin'.

Nice work Dan.

Thanks Onur. Good thing I have you for my parts man! Gotta get it ready for my final job-less hurrah in 2010!

Here are photos of the finished product (sorry for the dirty engine ) bay and after several months of use I like it!

I have a question about your fusebox/panel.. I have the same one. I am gonna put 3 gauges in a console plus 5 carlington switches of wich two switches will operate a small comporessor and some HID driving lamps on the bumper..other three switches will be connected to low consumers.

Fusebox is connected straight to my battery (oem two baterry setup) and from there I will feed the switches +accesories and the gauges with seperate wires. Prefferably I want the power to go on when I have my key on IGN with a 5 sec delay. How can I achieve this (all things connected to the fusebox/panel should only work when my key is in the ignition. Is there some sort of relais I can put in between the battery line and fusebox.. if so to wich wires do I hook that up to connect it too the ign or acc.

Hope you guys understand what I mean. If you feel I hijacked your thread too much let me know and I will delete it.

Thnx
Dutchy

Admittedly I'm not the best one to ask about anything more complex than basic circuits ;). But given the probable current within your aux system I would say you'd want a relay in between a switched source and your fuse box. And you'll want to include a correctly sized fuse or circuit breaker, as I have, between the battery and your fuse panel.

Ok...had to take the sand/bridge ladder plunge. IMO the perfect product doesn't exist but I decided not to wait until they do . We used waffle boards/Terra Trax Sand Ladders or basically reinforced fiberglass commercial decking last year in Utah and they came in handy as bridging ladders. And they also functioned as bases for the shower...better than standing in the mud, etc.

Found a decent deal ($175 for the pair; delivered) on a pair of new gray waffle boards. A package of Yakima Mighty Mount 23H, 4) 5/16"-18x4" hex head bolts with nuts, 4) 2-1/4" large OD washers, 4) 5/16"x1.5" fender washers, 4) 5/16" split lock washers and 4) handwheel style 5/16" thru-bolt handle (had them laying around...or you can buy similar from Yakima for relatively cheap) nuts get a pair of 48" waffle boards secured to the OEM rack.

I secured the Mighty Mounts to the crossbars (used fully threaded 5/16"-18 x 4" hex head bolts) so that when the waffle boards are removed for use the bolts stay in the same location/don't move around.

And surprisingly there's hardly any wiind noise at 70mph!

Might come in handy during hunting season too!

Just an FYI for those that might be contemplating something similar.
