Great story & pics. Not sure if I'm more jealous of land cruiser, trail options or the E1!

Very nice, thanks! Thumbs up on being a family man...keep giving the kids the outdoor experience.

It's good to see how an LC is meant to be. Very much apprciated all the nice pictures you shared.
Thank you very much !

Thanks. Pic 1 on post #9 is FrenchCreek on Holy Cross City trail.Holy Cross 2009 - Rising Sun Member Forums
I've been over Peal pass a couple times. It's a nice trail. Tomichi Pass in the 1st pic below was the most scared I've ever been in my truck. 2nd pic Pearl, 3rd Pearl Pass

I get a new battery about every 2 years. I carry a optima red top in the truck on long trips and my camper has a giant Marine battery, So I have some options to jump start if needed. Yeah real dual battery setup is on my list too.

Tomichi does look like about a 9 on the pucker scale there dude.

The rear of the frame is cut, but the bumper captures the frame well. It was built with the idea of flat towing my fj40 behind it. I tried that once. Let's just say, it can be done but is fairly unpleasant to tow. Not like the E1 that thing tows smooth. I think it's stiffer in the rear than it was factory with the IRBIS bumper. I'll crawl under there at some point today and snap some pics. E1 is built for the Travel in the US. Mostly pavement. I think it would fall to bits in Australia. I've shaken it real good on plenty of washboard and it need some love everytime I do it. Not Toyota quality for sure. I now understand why those outback trailers are so freaking expensive.

Rear bumper shots. Like my Gatorate bearing cover? I need to get under there with the rustolium and give it all al little love. But no mud flaps, mag-chloride and snow from nov-april take their toll.:D

Great looking truck!

I spoke to Christo today and ordered my Diff Drop and just about puller the trigger on the rear bumper, but could not do it, not I see your rear bumper and think again................

But when you are ready for a steering wheel or leather replacement let me know, see my build thread for pics.

I got this as a Christmas present. Shane just for you I installed it today. :DI'm saving my penny's for the header project. I've read your thread. One day I'll redo the interior. My kids are 4 and 5. I know the day I redo the leather the kids will walk across them in muddy ski boots. Then on the ride home it'll be projectile orange vomit because the ski school instructor will have let them drink orange Fanta for lunch.

It doesn't look as nice as factory but at 1/10 the price it'll do. My steering wheel was unpleasant to touch and look at. Now it's just unpleasant to look at.

Good job!.

Killer writeup...thanks! I've seem your rig in Vail a few times. Always love it! Great to see another 100 really getting used as intended.

Cool pictures and write up. Thanks.

Good looking 100 but more importantly you have a great looking family. Congrats on both.

Great write up, and the pictures are making me want to get to Colorado and explore. You have a great rig to haul the family around in, so enjoy.

Very jealous of your location and proximity to so many good trails and views. Im in the flatland/coastal area of Texas. Very nice rig and pictures.

I'll be honest - I didn't think a 100 series could do THIS kind of stuff. Very impressive.
