So the great news is that we finished all the metal fabrication and started on the Body work. Used acid to get down to metal and then used cats hair on the big filler areas. Still using the same piece of Volkswagen beetle glass that I did when I started doing this 20 years ago

note to self. I called southern poly and they recommended priming first, then wait the 24 hours, then put on seam sealer.

Thanks so much Jose. Been tons of work the last month, and at time seems like it is crawling. Appreciate the kind words -- they motivate me to keep pushing forward.

Hope to blow the green monstaliner tomorrow.....

Josh, Mike and I got the car prepped and painted the jungle love green on today, and realized that we have the wrong color for black mix. Anyone have any black???

we need enough to do maybe 1/4 or 1/3 of a gallon, so not much needed.

On a timeline, so need it ASAP.

Thanks,

Kelly

Pics of the jungle love on, the black is currently primer but it will be black Monstaliner....,hopefully

This morning was a good morning. I'm proud to say the Montaliner is COMPLETE! Oh my gosh that feels so good to say let alone type up. Here are the photos. Some are turned around to show correct orientation so the ground is not where it normally is. Tripped me up for a bit. It looks great and the next paint step is to just spray around the door wells. Then the pieces come together! Here are some pics:

Like Josh said, we got the monstaliner done. I bought colorant from Orielly's. Mason brand, universal black color, no binder. Dried much faster than usual; however, looks great and the DONE word was used.

Then we sprayed the john deere blitz black on the door jambs. Next up is to put chassis saver or por15 on the interior roll cage and bare metal, sandblast the rear frame a little bit and POR15 that.

Meanwhile Josh will be working to install bits and pieces.

Change is good.

Help needed.

Sent the ebrake cable to contol cables in CA, and they cannot extend cable that we need due to the stretched frame. Before I say anything else, they seem like awesome folks, and they may be able to make a solution; however, it would be to fab up a block that would take the current cable, then transmit to a second cable.... my point it these are the pros to talk to, just not able to do much on this cable...

Does any of our Austrialian members have a contact over at creative conversions?? Creative Conversions – Australia's Premier Conversion Specialist

I emailed them several weeks ago, and no response.

I know they have done many 80 series and other version extensions, so they must have a solution.

Or anyone know of a stretched 80 on mud, and can help us see how the cable was adapted?

Thanks,

Slee has/had an 80 Series Limousine.
