Do we have a writeup for this topic? It seems to be brought up a lot and I thought it was specifically in the FAQ already??

https://forum.ih8mud.com/79-95-toyota-truck-tech/345017-2nd-gen-add-newbie-question.html#post5498729

Also, since the procedure for replacing the rear door lock actuator's pretty much the same as Chris's Writeup and video would you all like me to go ahead and do something similar for our side of the forum as I am going to be doing this project really soon again. *I'll even include what specifically you can skip if just wanting to convert yours to manual lock activation, even possibly the whole manual swap for the window??

Let me know what everyone wants, I've some free time and always love doing this stuff. :D

Chevy or Chevrolet Springs

This is From another web site and not my views but
Thought it was good info:

The old chevy spring questions. All spring count will be refereed to excluding the big fat overload spring.

1. 89 up chevy p/u have 63'' rear springs.

2. 1/2 ton 2wd is a 3 leaf. In the 2000 years the 2wd 1/2 ton had a 2 leaf (I don't like them too soft)

3. 4wd had 4 leaf along with 3/4 ton 2wd.

4. 4wd 3/4 ton and up is the 5 leaf.

In my opinion the 3 leaf is best for a p/u and a 4 leaf is ideal for a 4 runner. The arch is the biggest problem in getting good lift, we have a full length add a leaf for about $60 that will give about 2'' of lift and still flex great. still not tall enough is why we started the 66'' rear spring which clears 35'' tires (36's with a body lift or mild trimming).
Hope this helps

hey jerod you can check into this but might be nice to add to faq,
activated charcoal to remove odors.
all you need is fish tank filters, they are full of it, and it absorbs more than the odors.

well just hang one in your truck if you have musty odors, or if something might have died in you truck like a mouse. my wife had the field mice move into her lebaron convertible no cleaner would remove the smell, but i put a few fish tank filter cartridges in it and in no time the smell was gone.
