Fan pulley bracket noise?

Hey everyone,

I started noticing this noise as I was driving home from work. Shortly after this video was taken, my serpentine belt completely snapped. After letting the truck cool down and playing with all the pulleys, I know I need to replace my idler pulley (sandy, grindy noise when spun). When I got to my fan pulley, I wasn't able to get it to spin at all. I felt a good amount of burnt rubber on the bottom of the pulley as well (from belt). I am highly inexperienced, has anyone had this issue before? My guess is I need to replace my fan pulley bracket on top of my idler pulley, but I also have a sinking feeling that the water pump may be the issue. Any tips would be very much appreciated.

2001 LX470 with 240k miles. Timing belt and water pump replaced ~30k miles ago by previous owner for context

Sounds like the fan bracket, you can get a new Aisin one from someplace like Cruiser Outfitters (crusierteq online).

The water pump is turned by the timing belt not by the serpentine belt, so you're probably ok there.

You should be okay once you get your pulley's, fan bracket, serpentine belt squared away

If Timing Belt near 90 or over 7 yr to 10 yr (depending on climate). Consider doing a timing belt service. Fan bracket is then, no additional labor.

Check lateral play of your serpentine belt tensioner pulley, that has a bearing and it could be that.
