I don't keep track, but it sounds like you do, so how many Eaton vs Aisin clutches have I done? This week Aisin is winning, but most are not off of 80's, the Sequoia, 100, 40, etc, clutch count is winning.

In San Francisco this week on vacation and threw out 2 eatons, does that count?

Your loss. Re-tuned Eatons are working just fine around here, even when we had 5 days in a row of 115 degrees.

so Eaton it is. I trust you guys. And I'll assume that there won't be a mpg hit too.

50ml of 15K cSt, right?

You need at least 20k in the Eatons. I have done several with 20k and 25k. Following Tools advice.

I just Finished up right now on a blue hub with 30k and I did the temp mod at 95*

I wanted to see what all the fuss is about with the temperature mod. I used a thermocouple attached to the housing near the spring to verify my temperature. We shall see.

If you look on eBay under Toadrcz or Toadzrc he sells the fluid for about $5 shipped. I got mine in 3 days. He's in Redding Ca.

I went with a blend of 10k and 30k, and mixed it per the website some one mentioned in one of these fan clutch thread, made a 20k mix for my Eaton. Having done this exactly one time, I don't know if I am right or wrong, but it seems to be working.

your right, I've never been in his shop and assumed he hasn't done more than 100 clutches. Kudos to him.

My apologies.

A 100 clutches plus is most likely.

Tools started testing and playing with fan clutches in 5/04. The first one came of the truck below prior to my trip. The FC presently in my lastest 80 was also sent to me back in '04 by RAVEN for testing.

Kudos to Tools for taking the time and the R&D to perfect Toyota's FC's for our 115°+ temps.
