I'll have Woodford double oak on hand!! Im bringing a bit of dry firewood and on another note, I have a couple parts I'd like to get rid of and can bring with. Near perfect 80 series running boards, 100 series bug deflector and sunroof wind deflector, and 80 series trailer hitch.

For those of us in NoVA who took Friday off (or are retired and got a weekend pass) but don't want to set up in the rain, I am planning to leave at O-dark asscrackofdawn Friday morning.
Anyone who wants to caravan can meet Steve Kim and I at the food lion Bob mentioned (@76FJ40 can you post an address?) around 0530.
I know @TRFCSUX is usually up by this time anyway so he'll probably be there.
Anyone else?

I just came off a 5 day weekend in Nashville, so I'm not gonna leave work til noon Friday. Mark is joining me and Tiki of course. Will just be making it a simple trip in the Taco. Hope to arrive by dark unless Ed's traffic doomsday forecast holds true.

I've got a couple buddys coming up planning to be there Thurs night.

James will have a big cherokee on 39 Rockers. Tow rig is a red Nissan Titan.
Steve will have a solid axle Xterra on 35s or 37s. Tow rig will be a white Dodge pickup with giant enclosed trailer. Tow rig and trailer owner is named Mike.

Why so early , rausch will still be there.

Local weather forecast is pretty decent for Friday and probably Saturday. Raining here in Brockton right now, 35 minutes from Rausch.
I-81 will be one lane in each direction for the foreseeable future, worst times of the day are mid afternoon- evening and of course traffic on Friday is usually busier than other days. I believe the two lane setup starts around MP97 or so below the pine grove exit and ends shortly below exit 107. There is no real short detour around the two lane area.
One bypass would be to go straight onto I-78 where 81 and 78 split, then take the 501 north exit into Pine Grove. 501 tees into 895 in PG, turn left at the tee and you'll hit 443 the main drag in Pine Grove. Turn right and drive through pine grove on I think route 125 (route 443 turns right at the intersection with 125). This will take you through town and up to the area of exit 104 where you can turn left past the truck stop and up the hill to Rausch. Please note that route 501 between I-78 and PG goes over a short but fairly steep mountain, takes you right over the Appalachian trail. It ain't shorter for sure than I81 but will help you avoid the construction area.

I'm still heading up this afternoon. Guess I'll be setting up camp in the rain. :meh:

If nobody else is there, yet, I'll snag a spot in the first or second site on the right.

That road looks like it could be fun with a trailer! I came down throw 81 a couple weeks ago. It is heavy traffic in the afternoon. No different than we are use to driving in every day.
