Hey all,

I took a spin through a bunch of threads about the Factory Service Manual and the best options for downloading it. I also did a little google research and found two different sites; one is for vehicles made in North America (the one from all the threads) and another is a European version. I didn't see anything for Asia specific models. My cruiser is a RHD purchased in Japan. Would I use the Euro FSM for maintenance or can I just use the North American one and kinda swap the sides so to speak. I really want to make sure I'm using the correct publication before I start messing around with stuff.

Any wisdom you can send my way is much appreciated.

I have never heard of anyone having a JDM MANUAL translated into English.

P. S. None of the 80 series were made IN the USA, but a bunch were made in Japan FOR the USA market.

I suspect all you'll need to keep in mind with the FSM is that illustrations may be mirror image in term of the locations of the parts for ones that would apply differently R to L for any one of many reasons. Some parts themselves are different R to L for this reason. However, for many, there is no difference, the actuator for some may come in 180 degrees or some other way to accommodate R to L differences.

I don't think you'll get off track "translating" these differences for yourself in the L manual for your R truck if you keep this in mind. Unless you're a little dyslexc like me -- then you may have to think about it longer but all should be clear in the end.
