We do have bass fishing but most people prefer fishing for walleyes or Northern Pike or Muskies. I am an inland Lake Trout man, myself, but all you need is a rod and some baits and to choose the type of lake or river you want to fish. I am about ten minutes from some world class steelhead and other big lake salmonoid fishing and I am two minutes from good bass fishing on the St. Louis River.Well Red, the cat has held up really well, his name is now button, before that it was just cat. My daughter picked out that name when she moved home after getting her Bachelors degree. And in short order after naming him, she made up her mind that the best place for her "new" cat to live, was inside MY HOUSE. It's a really good thing i love my daughter, because as far as I'm concerned, the best place for a shop cat to live, is OUTSIDE in my shop.
As far as your offer to work by 10% of the worlds fresh water. I'm afraid I'd be a VERY bad influence on you. I'd be wanting to go bass fishing all summer long, then deer, duck, and pheasant hunting in the fall, then after that I'd be wanting to go ice fishing for pike in the winter.
I am in Billings Park, which is a nice area in Superior, near the river and the lake, and a whole lot of nothing in the way of human development(we also have some serious human development, I think Superior has the world's largest ore dock and there is a ton of other massive equipement due to the fact that it is a major port(s).) We have wolves, bear, moose, deer, all sorts of birds, etc. living in that municipal forest, which is 500 yards from my front door.
You can hunt deer in the SMF with a bow and the bays are open to duck and goose hunting. Also plenty of turkeys and other shootable birds if you are into that sort of thing.
Come on up!
