Dang it, every time someone posts up that they're patiently waiting for updates, I get a notice telling me there is a new post, and I rush over her eager to see the next phase, only to find out I'm not the only one eager to see the next phase! :)

Sorry guys, I know its been a month since I posted any progress. I promissed the :princess: that I would follow through with our plan to get out of debt. A plan that unfortunately involves clearing out most of the stable. So I spent the last few weeks working on getting the 77' ready to sell. (before/after pics) Its been sitting in my yard for almost 2 yeas now. I gotta admit, the trailer does look pretty good behind it. It will be sad to see it go. But..............(see next post.)

Future tow vehicle.

Ive Been looking for a 76' for a long time. 1976 is the ideal year cruiser for me. 2F engine, Disk brakes, updated doors, ambi doors, 4speed tranny, etc. It also happens to be the year of my birth.

When this one popped up 2 days ago for $500 I jumped on it sight unseen. Its pretty rough (no motor, No top or doors) and will defenitely be a project and a scavenger hunt for missing parts, but I am really excited. It came out of Las Vegas where it has been sitting in a driveway for the last 15 years. Minimal rust and It came with a factory drop down tail gate and a Confer Aux gas tank. Time to finally start installing all those parts I have been saving for "The one". Check out that bald eagle grill emblem.

I do it all the time...

I love the get out of debt and then buy a new cruiser :)

HAHAHAA

DO IT ALL THE TIME!!!!

Thats why I have a warehouse - so I can wrench on my junk at work - and hide it from the wifey :)

Good score for $500 :)

Where'd ya get that cruiser from in Vegas? And how much are you selling the 77 for?

You sound just like me.
I promise the wife I would cut down on my unfinished projects and clear out some of the parts I have laying around.
Then about the time I start goign through everything another opportunity pops up and I drag it home to add to the list!!!

At least my wife has a bad memory and will walk right past my new junker and not even notice it's not been in the shop before.

It helps to have a big shop full of junkers, that way she can't keep track of the old ones vs. new ones.

Love the old cruisers. Good find! And wiw what a price!!!

I got it near Flamingo and Sandhill.

Its not listed yet, but Id like to get $5K for the 77'. It is complete. Has a SBC 350 with an RV cam 46,000 miles on engine, Toyota 4 speed. 31 X 10.50 BFG AT's lots of tread. Mild lift. Custom bumper. Exterior Paint job is rattle can Matte finish - close match to original dune beige.
