Definitely a good option, but one that I didn't consider much.

I use my 200 as a daily driver too, and I don't want to swap my wheels every time I want to go offroad.
True true, I just use some 2015 LC200 wheels as my off road ones atm and the Lexus 20" wheels as the daily wheels.. I feel it's better to have the 2 sets so road tyres for normal duties then something bit meatier for the off road escapades. No need to compromise that way. But I def understand the appeal of not needing to swap back and forth although I do have to say I've gotten pretty quick at it especially when my old man comes around to see the grand kids and I rope him into helping.

I'm not aware of any 17" forged option(s) other than the Rock Warriors.

Evo Corse partners with Fondmetal and uses low pressure casting. They use the same technology in Formula 1 racing wheels and wheels for other types of racing. They're engineered to handle the weight of a large SUV. Not sure what more I could ask for.

I suspect there is a weight advantage to forged wheels, but I'm not building a race car.

And cost wise, I got five new rims delivered to my door for what four used Rock Warriors have been running in my regional market, and no long road trip and sketchy sellers.
Another mud member and I were talking wheels for my 80 and he introduced me to this wheel. Titan 7 T-AK1 Wheel - 17x8.5 / Offset -1 / 6x135 (Satin Titanium) - https://www.evasivemotorsports.com/store/product/titan-7-t-ak1-wheel-17x85-offset-1-6x135-satin-titanium/

The link is specifically for my 80 but you should check out if they have a config that you like. It’s a great price for a forged wheel and I think is a handsome design. I plan on getting these very soon.

Nice looking light wheel. I didn't see - 5x150 with 110.1 bore and an offset that'd work, but maybe I skimmed over it in my quick scan. Hopefully there is one and it is an option for the 200 crowd.

I'd rock a +5, they look great.

They have the form, but not the function. You'd have significant rubbing issues with most large tire sizes, and mud all over the side of the truck instead of staying in the fender wells. Plus the things that come along with scrub radius being 50mm from ideal.

Are the Icon Vector 5s not on your list for any reason? I don't have them, but they are the best looking to me of the +25mm crowd. They come in 3 colors.

PIcture stolen from MUD: LINK for more pictures

Nice thing about the Evo Corse is you can get them in some more ideal offsets than +25mm. But I don't know how I'd feel about 6mo wait time.

Great car! I am also a fan of the Bfg a/t Ko2 tire. An all-terrain great tire

Meh, they all get mud on them.

My rock warriors without spacers do a great job of keeping it mostly under the truck. This means that on camping trips not near as much of it ends up on me.

I seem to recall the rock warriors are 17x8 with +50 offset, and they obviously fit great, given how many people run them. That's a huge difference from these nearly 0 offset options, almost 2", if I recall the conversion right. That seems like it would be less than ideal for a lot of reasons.

You are correct on your numbers. My RW barely rub the back of the non-adjusted mud flap on one side with LT285/70R17
A +35 or even 25 would work well but still need minor adjustments.. 60mm further out than stock 08-15 wheels is a lot of movement.

+5 offset. Pretty far from ideal.
I talked to Titan last year about offering a better offset and they had zero interest. I was super interested in running their wheels, but +5 offset is not something I want to deal with.

That's a bummer. I contacted a few company's who are Titan7 vendors and discussed military discounts and vividracing.com offered a 5% discount and free shipping which equates to $465/wheel-10-12 week lead time. What a great deal but too bad they won't be ideal for the 200 platform.

The rims arrived (17x8" ET40), and now I need tires. I'm planning to stick with the BFG AT KO2, unless I can't get them.

I currently run a LT27570R18 Load range E that are supposed to be 33.2"x11"

The new ones are 17", and I want to go with a 34"-ish tire. The extra 1/2ish of height would be nice, but hopefully dodge the bullet that some folks have had with true 35s.

Not sure if the 1/2" less of diameter on the BFGs is enough to help with clearance.

Looking at the BFG tire chart, it looks like the options are:
  • LT34x10.5R17 is 33.5x10.6" load range D
  • LT295/70R18 is 34.3 x12" load range E
  • LT35x12.5R17 is 34.5x12.5" load range E
The LT34 is smaller diameter than I'd prefer, and the LT295&LT35 give me I'm concerns about width.

I have a Land Crusier, so the KDSS interference is potentially in play.

Any experience or opinions?

285/75R17 is a commonly used "34-ish" size on the board here. Have you considered that?

AFAIK, Main Line Overland is still the only place. They just got the order last week, and had some additional rims in that container, if you're looking to buy.

It took forever with shipping delays, over two months longer than they said it would. I'd rather they just be honest than tell something that they can't deliver on. And then when I asked about canceling, they told me it would be a 15% restocking charge. And these weren't special order, they were just stock they had coming on a container. Shady practice if you ask me, but opinions may differ.

Thanks, I missed that one in my scan.

Looks like the LT 285/75R17 is 33.9"x11.3" Load range E.

That sounds like a good compromise. Thank you!
