That is really a great thing you're doing for your boy. Feel proud of yourself for teaching him and making him respect owning and working on a rig.

Awesome truck - love the original glove box trouble light!

What did the new rig cost?

Well our first "wrenching" on the cruiser started today. Wyatt cleaned out a lot of the crappy wiring the PO's had done over the last 35 years. We still a have few wires to track down. We are amassing parts for the PS conversion, mini truck disc brakes, spring over/shackle reverse. My project seems to have taken a backseat to this one, the parts I order seem to always be on back order.

Hey, way to go man. I am the same age as your son, and my dad has done the same thing for me. We currently have my '65 FJ40 down to the frame and getting ready for sandblasting. It is the coolest thing ever. stick with it.

So how are you gonna get two of them in the WW? your gonna be like me going on a trip, caravan

good looking '72

That's a great father and son project. Keep up the good work. BTW looks like he has good tastes in music for 14!

Great name for a nice looking truck. Very lucky kid.

Okay, I have a couple of wires I do not know where they go. The first one comes out of the firewall above the valve cover, it is a black wire with a factory connection (bullet type) and sheathed with plastic.

The second is a 2 pin connector in the the harness below the windshield washer connection. Any ideas as to where these would go? Any help is appreciated.

Thanks for all the positive responses.

Tony

My trailer is 32' now, I don't want a bigger one!!

Rob,

The temp. sensor is hooked up, oil pressure sender is hooked up, The solenoid on the carb is hooked up as well, what else on the carb would need to be hooked up? The car was produced on 12-71, if that helps.

Guy acroos the street just ordered a custom FSC 36, looked at mine and added what he wanted, sand buggy and Ranger, put custom cabinets, bunks and other stuff, Big pull trailer, I was the big kid on the block till this one arrives,

Have you checked the Clifton manual for wiring diagrams?

Rob,

I have been chases wires for 2 days and looking at the schematic until I could not see straight. I can not find a black wire going anywhere. There are a couple of funky wires going to a ballast resistor? on the coil. I will get some pics of it.
