From my experience, Marathon seat covers fit better and look cleaner/tigher, comparing the ones in my 100 and fj to the few escape gear i've had the chance to check out. Also the Marathon material is considerably more durable, USA made and many colors to choose. Made to order so a bit of a LT. I'm not at the point yet, where i need covers for the 200, but when it's time, I'll be buying another set of marathon. ymmv.

Just checked Marathon's website, and it looks like they stopped supporting the LC after 2007...so no 200 covers. :(

I stopped by and offered my 2011 to Marithon Seat Covers 2 years ago. They would make a pattern of it for a special price around 600.00 for front and rear seats. Regular price was 1100.00 for a one off. They also needed the cruiser for 5 days to make a pattern for all three rows. I asked for an extra note book pocket and they said no. They said they can get a vehicle any time they want from the dealer.
I will stop by again and see what they say now. (10 min drive) If you are interested, you need to contact them directly to show interest in the 200. Will post there answer.

Headwaters Seat Covers (30 min drive) said they didn't have time to make any thing but F150 and Tundra seat covers. No time or need to expand there business.

I stopped by Marathon Seat Covers again today and they said there is not enough interest/request for the 200 series. Give them a call directly (406-587-4001) to show interest and they may start production. I left my contact info with them so they have access to a 200 when needed.

I have the Escape Gear seat covers on my 70. One of the best investments I've made in my 70.

Thanks @Equipt. Paul is bringing in a really solid product for those of you like the hand crafted experience with a rustic touch.

I second this. Purchased Escape Gear for the front seats and enter console led of my 200 from Paul and they are great!

Hey all, resurrecting this old thread on Escape Gear covers... Can anyone confirm if the rear seat covers are compatible with kid seat "LATCH" anchor points? Since they are offset from the standard seat belt buckles which are accounted for in the covers, I wasn't sure if a kid seat would still buckle in? And yes, the two (kid + seat protection) are the goal here. Thanks in advance!

The LATCH anchors are accessible. NOT easily accessible. I have 3 car seats in my second row and no longer use the latch attachments for any of them. I find it far more convenient to use the shoulder belts. It only took me taking the car seats out 1x to vacuum out the middle row to never use the LATCH system again.

I assume you were weaving the car seat latches through the pre-existing seatbelt access points in the cover, therefore causing the seat cover to stretch and expose the leather below more easily? That was my exact concern, so I traded some emails with Equipt1's @Equipt customer service (awesome service BTW).

I'm getting a (slightly) custom-made option from Equipt1 and Escape Gear to account for the latches with a fabric overlay so I'll have coverage when the latch car seats are no longer needed. This will avoid any stretching/gaps that would be created if using the LATCH, and gives me sufficient coverage once the car seats are removed.

Lead-time is 4-6 weeks, and I'll definitely post up pics and other info once they arrive.

Special thanks to Paul and Kristin @Equipt Equipt | Roof Top Tents, Expedition Roof Racks, Dual Battery Systems, Portable Fridges for providing the Escape Gear seat covers with custom option for my kids' latch-compatible seat covers! They excelled in the customer service arena, and today I get to share some highlights.

I don't really have any other tips/tricks to offer for installation - but thanks to @pdxlc200 for suggesting the seat cushion install before the seat back install. Installation, otherwise, is one of those "there's only one way" to buckle/cinch everything up.

I wouldn't say it was easy, but now that the task is done, I'll say the level of installation difficulty is a complement to quality, fit, and function of the finished product - very pleased with the outcome. Perhaps the only consideration for the front seats would be to serpentine the straps over/through/around the motorized seat components, etc. so that you don't cinch down onto anything critical to seat operation.

Here's a shot of the child seat latch customization Paul and team made happen for me:

Some other shots of the finished product:

I would recommend a cold beer over the 80-proof Basil Hayden - total install took me about an hour. Oddly, I had the damnedest time getting the headrest covers on versus any other part of the install. (might have been the bourbon)

Protection from a toddler? Check.
Protection from my Simms G4 waders? Check.
Protection from wife's spilled latte? Check.

All in all, very happy - great product, no complaints whatsoever. Thanks again @Equipt for the exceptional customer service!

Those look great! Coincidentally, I ordered some today from Equip as well with a cutout for the gigantic monitors.

Question 1 = Can anyone confirm that the Escape Gear seat covers designed for the 200 Land Cruiser will fit on LX570 seats?

Question 2 = In addition to protecting the seat, I'm looking to use the Escape Gear seat covers to keep a lumbar pillow in place. It's free floating and annoying to keep adjusting it every time I jump in the truck. Any guesses if there is enough space to cram that pillow under the cover?

I can't comment on LX compatibility, but for inserting the lumbar pillow, I'd be fairly confident that it would wedge underneath the seat cover. There's a lot of cicnhing done for final fitment which should give you this room. Don't know about how well it would stay in place, though, unless you used some Velcro or two sided tape? Friction alone might be all you need but just thinking through what might happen.

IIRC the cooled seats still work fine. I only have heated seats which I know work fine. You could argue that it might take an extra minute to "feel" the effect due to the extra material, but it works nonetheless.

hi folks, this is my first post here....I won't hijack this thread with an introduction, but I will say real quick that I appreciate everyones sharing of info and recommendations , it's really helped me out a lot. thank you all so much.

kevinfoutch, or anyone here who may have an answer, i hope this is not a stupid question, but did you have to take your seats out of the car to install these covers?

I just picked up a full set, and following pdxlc200 instal advice....I still can't see how you can get the front seat's straps to come up through the bottom and up between where the backrest and seat meet and join with the buckle. I tried moving the set into various positions but I still can't get that bottom strap through....with out believing that I have to take apart the front seat to some extent. given that your instal times were relatively short to see you guys rippng your seats out of your rigs, I'm sure I'm doing something wrong here.

any advice would be appreciated and a big thanks in advance!

You definitely do not need to remove the seats but the fronts are certainly tedious to put on the first time. The trouble is that there is barely enough webbing for a couple of the buckles. I would love to see a video or something from Escape on the optimal process.

You really need to stuff the buckles through. I assume you can access the area between the backrest and the cushion from the second row? To do this you'd need to disconnect the rear light and the two rubber band hooks keeping the flap down on the back of the front seat.

that's a relief to know.... if I had to take seats out , that would be out of my skill set. I really love Equipt's customer service...but the service of an install video would provide would be really appreciated now. and for the price point ,somewhat expected. hell, if I had the time I'd make one myself and try to contribute to the community that way.

I'm a little lost with what your advising here. I can access the rear part of the driver/passenger seat from the second row. going off of pdxlc200's advice I've only tried to install the seat ( bottom part) cover first. when you reefer to "...the rear light and the two rubber band hooks keeping the flap down on the back of the front seat." you are referring to the actual backrest of the driver/passenger seat right? sounds like another stupid question from me but I don't recall a light on the seat. I do know that the back of that front seat has a hard plastic cover that would make things easier if it weren't there. I'll go and take another look at my LC to see if I can better understand what you're saying.

now, I was trying to get the webbing up to the buckle by pulling that webbing from under the seat and through the space between the seat cushion and backrest....then , once connected , I would've pulled the webbing back, pulling the buckles through that space. adjusting the fit that way. but , listening to you, I'll try stuffing the buckles through that space first, and connecting the webbing and buckles from the back side of the seat.

thanks for stepping in with the advice, indycole....I'm grateful !

oooookay. now I feel a little dumb....after taking a look in my LC from the second row seat, I see the tiny foot light to the base of the rear of the front seats. feeling around that light area, I can feel the two hooks and can tell that that flap is movable.

so now I gotta ask, is there a diagram of this in our owner's manual? I didn't want to take those hooks off if I couldn't tell where the would be hooked back on..

again, thanks indycole, I'm a lot closer to figuring this out than before.

There’s nothing in the manual I know of. I’d say you’re safe to feel around, remove the bands, and then you’ll be able to inspect the hook with a flashlight to get a visual before putting it all back together.
