Very cool. My dads 85 4runner was hit by lightening. The clock didn't make it and he never replaced it.

That's such a sweet find!!!!
Still hoping to stumble across a FSM for my 83 in a yard somewhere.
Thanks for sharing!

this truck was I think pretty optioned out...it was a DLX but it had some vinyl bucket seats that were definetly TOYOTA but they looked they were out of a celica or corolla but cars never had vinyl buckets like this. They had the lumber squishy ball deal that GTS cars came with...pretty neat truck

It had the wing windows too which I havent seen on a lot of 85's

Dad's 85 had the same clock in it. I think many 4runner from those few years had all kinds of dealer addons and options.

Very cool ...
i'm currently looking for /83 PU 4WD stuff .. if anyone has any links or propaganda !! I would be interested

.

Try holding the sticker up to a bright light, you may be able to at least see what it says.

$9,028.00

EDIT: after options $10,616.00 haha

I tell you what...Ive said Id never buy a new car BUT toyota built a 2011 2.4 5spd solid axle 4x4 Id pay 9gz:D

That clock is interesting. My 85 came with the hole next to the heater controls for a clock. Even wired already. A trip to the boneyard, 5 minutes of my time and I had it in the dash. Don't know why the redundant location below the radio, especially since it looks out of the way for viewing.

Exactly what I was thinking Pappy... As soon as the body change in 84 came there was a stock digital clock option next to the heater stuff.... Seems like a lot of work to design a different clock and wiring to fit a different location...

Does this option clock have an alarm? :D

I dont think Ive seen one with a stock clock?...maybe my 87 SR5 has one I dont remember...

I wish it had an alarm!! :grinpimp:

My '84 had a factory clock in the stock position, in the heater controls bezel. Actually, I still have it in my parts pile. Anybody need it?

could just be previous owners with sticky fingers walking off with your hardware.

At first I thought it was a pain, but I've since found the gaps they leave behind to be blessings in disguise.

Again, man, congrats on the score, I'm entirely jealous.
