Heck I'm not even going to do a zip line! I can't get injured again. I would be screwed. Although I thought for sure I was going to get run off the road last night on the way to Arenal Volcano.

Got a hotel room last night near the volcano. Lots of hippies around. I thought I left them all in Topanga. :flipoff2:

My trusty steed (prado full), my copilot, and all Toyota rentals. Surprised to see the Sequoia. I thought it was North American only.

My view from the hotel room this morning. It was the sound of mufferless motorcycles that finally woke me up. :(

Wow. Spectacular... Kid's gettin' big.

Took a look under the hood of my turbo diesel Prado. I kinda like this truck even though it feels far more 4Runner then LC. This motor is so basic and sparse. Oh and I'm the second person to drive it. It's brandy new. I got it with 336km on the clock ;)

The turbo is soooo cute! It's the size of a hockey puck :P

Box up that engine and send it back with ya.

On the ferry now to Santa Teresa. There is a 55 and a 62 in the ferry next to me. They drove on before I had a chance to talk to them. They look Australian or British. You can tell they've been driving a long time.

Some cruiser porn to keep things on topic. By far Toyota rules the roost here in C.R. From what I can tell there are more Hilux then Cruisers. But there are a s***ton of cruisers everywhere. And every flavor you can imagine. The only cruiser I havent seen is the 200 series only because I think those people either bought the Defender or the G wagon. Plenty of both.

Find a LHD diesel, stuff it in a container and ship it home! Homie.

.

I think I wanna move there.... << sigh >>

Back from Costa Rica and now finally leaving for India tomorrow. Called Martin and the engine should be fully assembled by EOD tomorrow which means install as early as thurs or fri :bounce:

So quick update. My flight was delayed so it gave me a chance to take a last trip over to K&H and Martin Davidson. The 60 should be ready to rock and roll tomorrow. Martin called me on the way to his shop and said to come by because he was about to assemble everything and it was my last chance for shots before he buttons it up. Great timing.

As you can see, the block is done and ready to go. Freeze plugs are in, its painted, bored/honed and decked. The block heater didn't come yet so its not getting installed. Bummer.

Here is LANDTANK's unobtainium oil bushing installed. Hell of a lot easier when the block is on an engine stand :P

The oil cooler area doesn't get painted.

Note the freezeplug sizes. Keep a 35mm and a 50mm on hand as a spare :hhmm:
