I will also have a 1993 HDJ81 for sale in coming months. ~77k miles, black, rust free. As with all my vehicles, it has been maintained religiously. Send me a message if interested.

How much are you asking for the black 1993 HDJ81?
Hah, I've gotten more messages asking about the '93 than this one!

I'm not sure yet, but it will be the same ballpark. I've been very busy with work, but when things calm down I will go through the black truck and make sure everything is perfect.

I usually like to do BeBs, knuckles, T-belt before I pass off to a new owner. The usual 80 stuff. It has some of the chalky 2-stage clear coat fade but is otherwise pristine.

Of all the half dozen diesel 80s I've owned, these two are by far the nicest.

Photos?

How have the rubitreks been? Any off-roading?

No issues. I don't do any real wheeling with my 80s. They see lots of mountain roads, some dirt, and the occasional rutted out track. For that, the Rubitreks do fine.

I care more about the 3PMSF snow rating (which these have). However, this winter was unusually mild and there wasn't much opportunity to really test.

I think BFG KO2s remain my favorite pick.

So the one in the original post has been sold?
The 1991 is still for sale.

I have gotten several inquiries on the '93, and spoken to one mud member on the phone. I expect it is already sold.

I will be traveling for my day job (not landcruisers unfortunately) and gone much of the summer. I would like to get the 1991 sold in the next month or two. Hence, why I have been thinning the herd a bit and clearing out the shop of parts & projects.

$15k for those that dont do the Book
