Guy has 3 or 4 more 4runners maintenance listed in ad sounds thorough
 
It's got the nice interior. Dash caps are available at around $175 and new carpet for the rear or the whole car. I still hate the v6 but some have had good luck with them.

I actually don't mind the metal cargo area......it's for a dog and Lowes runs so I could just throw a blanket in there.

I would definitely do a dash cap.

The thing I like is A. the price B. the guy has multiple 4runners and has done alot of PM on it.

We are talking via phone tonight...we will see.

I am not really in the market, and have no use for an 8th!! (I may have a problem) vehicle, but the 1st gens are sweet and that is a great price, so if you dont snag it, i might just because. If you are talking with him and would like a set of eyes on it I can try to go by. Not sure what he is available for look-sees, but if it is during the day or no later than say 6ish, I can swing by and check it out. My number is 731-six 97-329 zero. Mine doesn't fit your requirement of SR5 and won't be for sale unless you make me a deal I can't refuse. BUT.. I think if your patient and use search tempest you can find what you want in the 5-6k range.
 
One popped up in Austin for 12k and was gone in less than a day. Base model 85. Holy crap. It was pristine looking in the pictures.

Im passing on this black one. Still wanting silver. Wife is suddenly pushing for a 60 since realizing the 1st gens are 2 door. (She grew up riding in a family friends 60) Work a week. Week in florida and then we should have resolution on model and time to go look.
 
Anything about the black one you found out...or was it simply color?
