Hey guys! I’m trying to help @jkdur728 find a cab to replace his 1966 cab as it has serious rust issues. We found one but we need someone to verify the year of the cab.

Can any of you guys tell which year cab this is? Seller says it’s early. I know dash ribs went to ‘67 for US Spec and ‘72 for the rest of the world.

I don’t know what year the headlight dimmer switch moved locations?

@whitey45 @Bear @middlecalf @KT40 @3_puppies @Living in the Past @tahoe40/45

Thank you in advance!

it also has the throttle/pedal shaft that goes off to the right thru the firewall,
earlier ones went straight thru the firewall

X2 on being a solid find, the dash doesn't look hacked up either

Thanks you all for helping answer my questions. As it’s an expensive purchase. So the last thing I need is to buy the wrong body…
Anymore info I should ask the seller about before purchasing?

Has it been thru a fire?

Scratch that I just went to look and see if Scott had any in his stuff. Been dipped.

I agree with 64 or 65. Not a 66 as it should have side vent on passenger cowl front. Could be a 64 and sold in 65. But if a true 65 (manufactured) it still should have a side vent on passenger side. I've heard it was not uncommon for rigs to be built and then sold the following year. Ie....my 45 swb removable top, is registered as a 66, but had the vertical side vent---which I'm 100% sure it was stock to the truck. Therefore my guess it was manufactured in 65. Not an expert, just going on what I've heard and learned.
