Here’s the progress my friends making on the carb. Straightened the air horn & fuel bowl, black oxide on base and chromate on zinc casting.

FYI: the guy who restored the older scratched ones passed away, his wife called me and told me. He never told me his process but my process for making them to exact OEM standards is about complete.
 
I’m still working on trying to get back into it, my motion is still very limited so I’m working on perfecting clones of the OEM CENTERPIECES.
