There isn’t a photo that I can take that would do them justice. The subframe is a brilliant design and totally over engineered for something that never gets seen.

Installation took a few hours and was straightforward. The hardest part was scrubbing anti-seize off of my tools, my glasses, and every corner of my body.

Kudos to @turbo8 for bringing a new perspective to what was a settled product line. Bravo.

Thanks @tbisaacs!

These are back in stock and have a few little updates.
  • Little bit lighter by a couple pounds
  • Removed some non-necessary mounting hardware
  • Added pilot holes in some of the skids for screw access as described in this post

I have not been kind to my skids, I powerwash them but haven't taken them completely off to clean. Thoughts on using anti-seize on the bolts from the plates to the mounts? Maybe it makes no difference with such a low tightening force, but if it helps I'll do it.

Definitely. Stainless is notorious for galling.

I used antisieze on all the hardware

I just wanted to chime in quickly on how nice these things are. It's always a pleasure working with well made parts with good fitment. Glad I was able to get in on this batch.

I had one small issue with the oil drain panel not fitting perfectly into the engine skid, but was able to grind away a little for the proper clearance and now it's all good. Took me about 3.5 hours for the full install.

Oh, I had to clearance mine too around the oil drain.

Thanks for the heads up. I'll check the others out.

Yeah, the current batch of oil drain covers were made wrong. I'm going to make a machined version instead moving on.

I'll send the members that have bad parts the new machined version. These will be ready in a couple weeks.

Sorry about that!

I have the updated oil access panel, it's now machined. I'll send them to the members that received the bad ones tomorrow.

I'll put the skids back in stock and fix the hyper links to the instructions and 3d model. Some how they became broken.
