@turbo8 do you have a feel for when preorders will reach the min number for a next batch? Thanks, Jesse

As of now I don't have any pre-orders. I think I previously said I needed 10, but will get them going with 5 pre-orders.

Has anyone tested with the Rhino bumper skid or know if it will work? I think it would be 1 less piece, is that even an option? THank you!
I have the Rhino bumper with the skids on my 2018. Just kept the Rhino most forward closeout piece and didn't use the front closeout from the skid system; replaced the Rhino forward engine skid plate with the E&E. The E&E is a much nicer skid, plus my Rhino plate was trashed. I trimmed the tabs on the Rhino piece and used some spacers when bolting up, but got it all fitted up nice. Really happy with the setup.

I've been getting a lot of request to make another run of the skids. I was wondering if the people interested wanted the same thing or a little updated design like I was able to do on the 250 series. On the 250, I was able to get 3 supports under the diff and engine, which I think I can do on the 200 series. Pics are a 250!

It's a hard for me to see the possible pros/cons to a design change from the pictures in this thread and being two different vehicles. Can you elaborate on why you think one might wish to stay with the current design or opt for the new one? Thanks, I''m looking to be on the next preorder run.

I would be interested in the updated design, but happy with either honestly. I think it more depends on if you think the update is worth it or not and the benefits of it, as Kurosawa said

As an owner of the original set (1st gen?), I wonder what other people are thinking as far as replacement parts. I’m not sure what the possibility is in either case, but after LCDC when my truck was towed off the trail the front plate was bashed pretty good from bouncing off the tow rig. I was possibly hoping to be able to get a replacement skin. I haven’t actually seen it yet, to see if that’s necessary or if its fine the way it is. Chicks dig scars, right? So maybe I don’t need to replace. But just wondering what the effect of updating the design would have on original orders being able to get replacement parts?

I agree, you won't get much more benefit. pretty much the oil change access panels can be the same part and a little more support underneath the diff\engine area.

I can keep the same price listed on the site.

I assume we are talking about adding additional support between the front and rear plates? I guess you have a way to work around those mounts. Sounds like whatever you do it would mostly only affect that section of the skid system?

It was going to change a lot of things, so I won't do that.

One last thing before I get these going.
To help with maintenance, I can add screw access holes to the over lapping skids to allow easier removal of the engine or transmission skid.

Or I can put some pilot holes and leave it up to you if you want to drill out the access holes or not.

I think anything that aids in removal/maintenance is worth doing as long as there aren't any significant drawbacks in doing so (which it seems there isn't) so my personal opinion is go for it!

Also, hypothetically if a singular skid gets bashed is it possible to replace it in the future? Do you keep a small inventory or would we have to wait for the next pre-order?

Aright i'll get this going.

If you pre-order you will get an additional 10% off a full set.
8 pre-order spots left.

Yes, I would like the quicker access as well and just placed my pre-order👍

I don't typically have extras of the skid skins, waiting for the next batch would be best. Some how, I do have 2 left over front and transmission skids skins from the last batch though.

All parts are being made now, everything should be ready by mid October.
