If you've been on Barrett, I'd say it's a bit more like that. White Bark @ the top end is fun and Thompson a good time part way through. Theres some decent technical sections but a lot of cruising at a few miles an hour. The trail is 33 miles long so the real tough part is making sure your truck will hold up.The scenery is awesome. That's for sure.

So its just me n you huh :hillbilly: ?

Back to the top so ya can fix the Oct. dates :D

Im still good for October :grinpimp:

I want in. Just need to replace my radiator and gas cap first. Maybe a few little things also.
How late in the year is the trail open?
Last time I ran the trail I think it was late Sept??? and it was the 2nd to last weekend it was open that year. oh yea, it was 11 degrees one night.

Keep me posted on a firm date.
Ken

Oct. should be good, nice and cool and maybe some rain to keep the dust at bay. :D

Were you talkin about goin the first weekend in Oct instead?

Are you guys ever going to go on this Dusty trail or whatever? It seems there has been a lot of talk without ANY pictures :flipoff2:

I pick up the repair pieces to fix the frame on the 60 tomorrow. Using history to predict the future, the 60 will be ready to roll on dusy in october.

of 2028. If the Mayans are right, I never have to finish it

Are you sure on the Oct 9-11 dates?

I want to join you, but have to block out the time at work soon.
I'm 5 hours+ from the trail head at Courtwright. Would probably head up Thursday afternoon and camp at chicken rock.
What time will you pull out from Fresno Fri.?
Are you starting at Coutwright or running the trail in reverse?

Definitely post up pictures here if you go up next weekend.
Sorry about the 20 questions but this trail takes planning.

 Ken

I'm seriously interested! I love cold weather camping and this looks like a really cool trip.

I just have to worry about the 400 mile "price tag" in each direction. Rubithon just about killed me:rolleyes::D
