Duralast vc120 charcoal canister no longer available?

I had pressurized fuel tank along with OBD2 code P0401 (Low EGR flow).
Gas tank vented out with some pressure when the gas cap was opened.
Replaced old OEM charcoal canister with VC120, cleared the code, did 3-4 drive cycles, and just passed Arizona emissions test.

p.s. Later - I don't think P0401 has anything to do with pressurized fuel tank and charcoal canister.
Why would it? Was just a coincidence. Still have intermittent P0401. Comes & goes.
A working canister to properly vent gas tank, but catch fuel vapor, is very important.

Long term usage report for the substitute VC120 vapor canister from O'Reilly - FAILURE.

About 1 1/2 year after install - the bottom cover plate has fallen off, due to the plastic snap claws becoming relaxed.
The activated charcoal granules spill all over.
The air gap around the bottom cover serves as the vent to atmosphere, so you can't just wrap tape around it.
But, I did repair it with a few 1/2 width strips of Gorilla Tape across the bottom and up the sides. Air gap intact :hillbilly:
You can pour / stuff swept up charcoal back into the center hole.

Anyone who's interested in a direct fit OEM replacment: contact DORMAN via their website and ask for Toyota part # 77740-60350.

They don't currently have this available, but if enough people request
it they may start making this part.

Would you care to share your method of re-attaching & sealing the top back on? Pics or it didn't happen - as they say. ;)
It's well documented on the forum how to rebuild

I rebuilt my factory C.C. below is a link to that thread, my post starts at number 64.

Just wanted to add my experience here. I had the fuel cap whooshing since I bought the thing a year ago. I used the ACDelco canister. Seems to be working fine.
A few things of note:
1. This has a larger diameter than stock so you will need longer bolts to clamp it in
2. Because of the larger diameter, two out of the four bracket bolts won't line up with the fender. I left them out and plugged the holes with RTV so that I don't get any crud in there and keep the threads in good condition in case an OEM solution comes out in the future. With 2 bolts in only, the canister is still very solid.
3. You need to extend the air line from the frame rail. I just used some oil cooler hose I had.

I also submitted a request to Dorman for the OEM part. Doubt it will work but worth a shot.

Here is a picture of how it looks in my 80. Looks pretty factory looking in my opinion, I just don't like how its plastic.
