don't let that truck see AvoVum or they'll want to make babies together ... (not a bad thing, but could be painful to watch...) :D
You against breeding 80s? Mine has papers.

Whatever...mine gets to be on top. :grinpimp:

Looks great! I like how it turned out. I also like the rear gate covered the way it is.

Mine started to fade a bit over time -- it was UV resistant, plus had a semi-clear shot over it. I applied some armor-all to it and it brought it right back to life.

Doug, yours is a Lexette, so it's a girl!

Looks great!! I was planning on meeting you all tomarrow but the wife is too close to giving birth and will not let me out of her site...have fun.

Very, very nice. The involvement of the hood and tailgate clinch it for me .

TY

did you brush it on, or spray it?

Of course mine's a girl. They're both girls. All vehicles should be girls
Which...of course, explains why cruisers don't multiply...

That said...mine still likes being on top :grinpimp:

Hey Alvin, the pictures look better than in real life!:grinpimp:

Just kidding, it looks really good in person too. This is a  job. Prep work takes the longest as usual, but it makes it easier in the long run. The roller works really well, plus you don't have to mask off as much. A sprayer would need more masking. The edges are not feathered, but it is not too noticeable and it is also something that would have to be done last, after the masking is removed come by w/brush and carefully feather it.

I'm waiting for someone to "line" their entire vehicle. I'd say you're about 20% there already - why not just line the whole thing? Then <dramatic pause> you would be impervious to anything! <insert evil laugh here> It might be a bit toasty in the South - but up 'Nort - the ice and snow would surely melt off quickly on winter runs. Just a thought - albeit a twisted one. And I know I'm not the first to think of this - as there are far more crazier mofo's on the board than I. :D

I'm thinking of doing it. I'm going to start though with hood and bottom half of the rig.

I've seen a 4Runner turned rock buggy with what remained of the rig (not tubed) covered in liner stuff. It looked pretty good. I wouldn't say that it was impervious, but it did take the occasional smack better than one with just paint would've.

Would it be kinda heavy?

Hey, thanks all! I just got back from a LONG day of wheeling, so the stuff now has a good coat of dust on it.
I rolled the stuff on, definetly a  job. The edges are a slight ledge, but I would say less than 1/16" thick.
I really didn't wanna "just do the sides" and the front of my hood had a lot of chips in it. So I came off the flare line and over and around. Your right Phil, does look a bit like a killer whale. The tailgate was an after thought, and I'm glad I did it. It feels complete having a loop around the whole rig.
I had though about following the pinstripe line and doing the whole hood, but I bought black and this is southern AZ.

Now, onto my sliders and rear bumper...

Not picking on you...but why do so many people think this stuff is so heavy? It's essentially a millimeter or two (depending on how much you lather on of PLASTIC. It's not like you're coating the rig with lead weights...

sure, it's heavier than plain ol' paint...but how much? really, can it be all that heavy?

When the neighbor kid coated his mini I don't remember him having to use a forklift to lift the three 1 gallon containers. :D I'd say it has less effect than putting a hi-lift on the roof.

Robin Hood of LSLC did this. He and his rig are overseas right now, don't know where you might find a pic.

The rig (pre liner coverage) was the first on Readers Rigs on Slee's old site.
