So i am good ? Thank you ?I just looked at my 70' tub and its exactly where you have it in last pic with clamps on lower bracket. When I took mine apart ( 25 years ago) it had some spacers where you have washers ( 2 on your top hinge) that were 3/8 to 1/2" thick, bronze or brass IIRC.
I got the rear sill and channel from CCOT. I had to cut the sill about 4 time to reform it to match the curve on rear quarter panels. The radius was way off from the stock sill. I havnt tackled remounting my tire carrier components yet. Good luck, looks nice so far.I tried to install 2 shims ...but don’t change a lot...better but clasp not centered....rear sill come from CCOT and is valid for 58 to 74 View attachment 4058531
Lower hinge not drilled yet...

Do you know if the tyre carriere slide and touch the hook ? Or is there a little space ?I just looked at my 70' tub and its exactly where you have it in last pic with clamps on lower bracket. I have one pad...IIRC it does slide up on it, I vaguely recall 2 black pads that go there, I would look to CruiserMatt, wngrog, Georg, Mudrak for more detail, Gary might have an oem 40 to have a look at. I think there is a bumper/pad to keep if from banging the rear door, I think the pad was on a little stand off bracket that mounted to back of swing out piece.
