Well guys, this is it. If you are thinking this is some kind of fire sale, stop reading now. This is the rig we have all dreamed about and it is beautiful. And, it is located in Nashville, TN.

I have owned it for 8 years. We took it on an 11,000 mile road trip to Baja and then used it as our only US based vehicle for 5 years while we were living abroad for work. These 40,000 miles of driving convinced me that it needed more power.

I had it converted to diesel by Diesel Toys in San Antonio and then 7,000 miles later rebuilt by ATEB/TorFAB. This is frankly a big part of why it's listed here - just the heart break of having to do that and go without it for another 4 months.

Bottom line, this is the nicest driving diesel 60 you will ever find!!

1HD-T rebuilt by ATEB 4000 miles ago.

H55-F 5 speed. Factory t-case with twin stick conversion.

Stock front axle with ARB Locker and IFS Hub conversion with Tundra rotors.

FZJ80 rear axle with ARB locker and factory disc brakes.

BDS front suspension. OME rear with air overloads.

ARB front bumper with Warn Winch.

Kaymar rear with spare tire and 3 Scepter can mounts.

Engine details:
G-Turbo
Top Mount Intercooler
Rebuilt and tuned injection pump
Exhaust manifold mounted EGT probe
Factory accessories including 12v alternator.

Interior details:

Leather seats with front seat heaters.
TEQ embroidery on the door panels.
Just Dashes rebuilt dash pad - custom fit to pioneer head unit.
Tuffy center consol.
AMP and JL audio speakers.
Full WagonGear side panels and tailgate - with storage.
In dash Autometer Tach - factory location.
A-pillar mounted EGT and Boost.

Other:

Under-dash mount ARB air compressor.
100 series master cylinder.
252,000 total mileage. Body is the only thing to see that mileage. And all original paint except the hood. It is an 8/10. And, still my favorite part of the truck.

I am asking $37,500. Serious offers considered. Partial trade of mid 2000 100 series considered.

Expedition gear not included but available with purchase (to be negotiated)

ARB Fridge.
ARB Awning.
ARB Rack and prototype RTT.
Custom Kuat NV bike rack (to clear rear bumper accessories).
Canvas storage bag for front half of rack.
Lots of other stuff.

Update: still interested? Shoot me a message. She is available.

Yea, I have seen some steelies that look real nice, but not my speed. With the axle modifications, the track width is about 3" wider than stock and so I need to run modern backspacing. If I was buying new wheels, I would buy the hutchinson rock monster double beadlocks!

See pic:View attachment 1041665

The wheels you have on it look better than steelies, and so do those hutchinsons. Why is the track width in the front 3" wider than stock, since your add says it's a stock front axle?

I passed this rig on the interstate the other day, looks bad ass!! GLWS, dude

Not the owner, but I think the IFS Hub conversion adds about 3" of width.

That is correct. The hub conversion results in larger, better brakes and an increase in track width. It is stock axle from knuckle to knuckle (plus an ARB in the middle and Longfields at the ends).

Took some pictures today without the tire or fuel carrier. Looking mighty shiny for a 30 year old truck with factory paint!! (Hood was repainted when we fitted the scope.)

It's a beautiful truck, but way out of my price range.

I'm not very familiar with FZJ80 axles, but is this still 3.70 gearing?

It is 370 gears. It has been converted to 4.56 when it was gas, but that was way too low with the torque of the diesel. (Front axle is stock FJ60)

It is comfortable at 80 mph (2500 rpm) and smooth on the highway with this setup. It also has plenty of grunt offroad or at low speeds.

Thanks,
Dan

Wow... that is my dream engine right there...!!!
GLS....
Someone is going to get a helluva rig...!!

What kind of MPG do you see with this set up?

20.5 to 22. Probably averaged about 21 over the past 5000 miles.

Thanks, but I am not in the market for an FJ Cruiser or another 60.

I have received a couple messages in the last week. This truck is still available for sale, however, I have really been enjoying driving it for my daily vehicle. Current mileage is coming up on 261,000, though very little mechanically has been with the truck that long. Of major components, only the front axle housing!

Alright guys, here is your chance. Any takers at $30k? Still driving it daily and it has about 262k miles on the odometer (body is the only thing with that many miles).

Thanks.
Dan

OK you guys, try to find a decent looking wheel that has enough backspacing to not stick out 2" past the fenders on either side. I know because I have the same set-up.

Haters gonna hate. I've seen a lot worse. GLWS!
