Has anyone tried this or know of a better option? I have a cable stop broken on one end( circled item). I replaced the motor already but the plastic end on the cable is broken... I’m assuming that the item for sale just has a replaced motor in it...what do ya think?

I don’t know what year you are working on but here is a same as OEM Aisin DLT-092 (right front/pass side) for less than that one. This should fit 98-2002

Anyone know the model# for the entire unit for driver side front?

Door lock motor went bad on my 06 LX470 thinking no problem because I had motors from my prior 99 LC. After tearing everything apart the 99 LC does not use "D" shaft needed on a 06 LX470:bang: it uses round. Kick in get it done mode and after 1 minutes with a grinder I now have a "D" shaft motor:grinpimp: and all working door locks;)

Anyone had this happen while trying to open up the actuator? Apparently the teeth are now broken, any solution for this? Is there another actuator out there? Thanks

After looking at it, it seems this piece just pops out, maybe not broken after all. I may be able to swap this piece into the new Camry actuator I bought!!

3D print a replacement!

Anyone that has had issues with any of their door locks. I have scoured the net and found a few places where people figured out what the little dc motor in the actuator housing is but all the links for eBay are old and no longer working. I found the manufacturer name and part number so you can just search that and find them in bulk on eBay or individually on amazon however they are more expensive.

Brand: Mabuchi
Part number: KF243G-101

These seems to be used in many Toyota vehicles just in different plastic housings as well. I found the part in a Prius forum and then also a Lexus SUV forum.

Hope this helps anyone.

Welp, my driver door lock stopped locking/unlocking. Thankfully, this thread exists. Here's to hoping these are the right ones for my 2000 LX470. It's always something!

They are back on ebay I believe
I believe the xonsenconia that you need to buy both types of motors unless you want to take yours apart first.

I think this is just wishful thinking, but I found actuators for an RX300 on ebay, and the compatibility chart on the ebay listing says they will work in my 2000 Land Cruiser???? See LINK here. (or search ebay for "door lock actuator 2000 Toyota Land Cruiser Base 4.7L" and set the price to less than $50).

They look similar, but the white piece where the cable attaches is not in the same position; I'm assuming they will not fit...

I'm wondering if it is just bad info?

I have replaced a motor in the past as described in this post, but it sure would be nice to find the complete actuator assembly at a reasonable price.

Can anyone confirm whether or not actuators found in the ebay link above will work?

Why? If you can get this far, you can swap the motors in there.

There are several reasons to buy the whole actuator (if they fit):
  1. I had trouble separating, and then re-epoxying the black clam shell housing the last time I replaced a lock motor; it would be nice to buy new assembly if it fits and the price was reasonable.
  2. Some earlier posts requested a source to buy the actuator and not just the motor.
  3. A couple of posts above, someone was trying to source the white plastic "V" piece which broke off of the actuator while trying to separate the black clam shell housing.
  4. Also, because I'm lazy and would like to skip a step and replace something with new (if priced reasonable), rather than break a plastic housing and re-epoxy it (and zip tie it as some have suggested) hoping I don't have to get into it again (albeit still the best solution yet, aside from purchasing the whole assembly from the dealer $$$).

Camino70, I'm not trying to be a smart ass here, my apologies if it comes off that way, I'm just trying to answer your question.

Regardless, I don't think the actuators I originally posted are direct replacements, although it might provide the white plastic "V" connector that others are seeking (or something they could make work with a little modification).

This gets back to original question I posted. The auction says the actuators I found will fit various LC and LX470, but I'm not sure if they are direct replacements. If anyone knows if they will fit for sure, please reply.

Thanks

Sorry Lee, I didn't mean to come off as a start a$$. Frankly none of your reasons came to mind for me, so thank you.

Unfortunately I don't have the answer your looking for, I have a suspicion that they won't fit though.

Camino, hope I didn't come off as smart a$$ either. No problem, I owe you beer.

I don't really think the actuators will fit either, but would like to know (at least for the white piece that some have broken).

Thanks.

Did you take the plunge and pick them up?
