I ordered the motors with no bushing for my 07 LX, and when I cracked open the driver door actuator it had the bushing…Luckily I had one of those left over from my 2000 LC. So I’m not so sure it’s a sure bet there was a clean production break in on the motors.

Was it fairly easy to get to? I’m wondering if it’s worth opening the motor to see what I have before I order a motor.

getting the assembly out so you can get to the motor is probably close to an hour the first time you do it. I would rather order both sets and be down an extra X $$ than have to fish that thing out twice. Plus you really want to epoxy that case back together tight to keep it sealed so doing that twice in succession probably ain't great either. More of a chance that something cracks when splitting open again.

Agreed. The motors are $5 a piece so not worth the effort to do it twice. I think if you have a 2002 and earlier it’s going to be the collared motors. The newer trucks it’s more of a crapshoot.

2005 LC driver lock actuator barely works, passenger sometimes. Have ordered ASIN OEMs for both. Also have the driver handle unit lift-off/loose (rear side of handle) common issue. After removing door panel, I can see that my handle unit rear bolt is GONE and not found in bottom of door. What I found was that the handle assembly had been access before. The clear pastic tab for tool access was torn off, vapor barrier was put back well. I had some dent/paint work on driver side ~7 years ago and assume this is the root cause. FWIW - I was first looking at the lower bolt behind the lock cylinder sensor wire. I found and was watching this an actuator fix YT video (time mark link) which made it clear what is the correct handle bolt. I am not sure exactly which bolt item this is I need to buy, anyone know offhand if generic or I have to get from Toyota.
