Idiots at their best here:

And his Mum in her preferred supervision spot:

As can be seen by the dust everywhere, she's been carefully digging it out, and it's now about 6" deep, terraced into the slope of the front yard... It would be nice and cool, as the other day it was a swimming pool so the soil has some moisture in it.

Kelpies are great at digging, you'll hear the boy dog digging in the sofa at night to make a comfy bed, and I've found the other one asleep in a plant pot, after she's removed the plant...

In July I had a back injury that caused me to lose the response in four nerves in my left leg. It led to a major surgery on my spine, my 4th. The 1st 3 happened 40-43 years ago. I was able to make those early ones last because I worked my ass off in rehab and did my maintenance every day. This recovery is going to be a long haul and a lot of work. I have awesome dogs who have accompanied me on my rehab and maintenance journey from day one. Having a buddy like this showing me loves as I put my time in on the bike after taking him and my two other dogs for their morning walk makes it easier to maintain the discipline to do the work. The second picture is him patiently waiting for me to finish.

@DrDuc best of luck on this recovery… you got your cheerleaders on your side !

I’m sure no one with dogs will have any trouble figuring out that it’s dinner time…for the humans…the dogs always eat first so she can’t be hungry, she just loves to beg

@DrDuc keep up the hard work. Feral hogs aren’t going to kill themselves
So true! And taking them out is a big motivator for me. The irony is that I strongly suspect that it was the process of skinning and butchering a feral hog that resulted in the injury back in July. Payback for taking them out, I guess😂😂😂.

Mum looks exactly like my girl Abby a.k.a. Puppins. RIP Puppins: you were good one.

It’s getting outta hand over here. Now they want treats for successfully scarfing a meal in record time. I guess the hoomins call that dessert lol

My dogs, who had never seen snow, ran outside this morning and said “aw hell no” and ran back into the house. 😁

Spoke to my in-laws today in Vermont regarding a few family things and told me it was cold out but not nearly as cold as it used to be. Dogs went out and laid in the snow for a bit

My huskies would love it.
