Those bronze wheels will look as good if not even better on the white one. I agree about the Grey, it is the best color currently offered especially when combined with the Terra interior.

Congrats! 👍

I agree, going to regret ditching the Gray - wish scratches didn't show so well and bother me as much.

Has been interesting wrenching on a 2016 and 2017 side by side, really noticing how different people wear on their trucks and very slight differences in oem build parts - like the 2017 has different cargo door gas struts. Also while expected, underbody condition is surprising between a Colorado and Texas truck even being a year older.

Gotta decide on suspension today, looking forward to moving over the wheels.

After much deliberation and finding a pretty good deal (~$1800 off), I decided to go nuts and ordered Icon Stage 6 a few days ago. It's still pricey and I wouldn't have done this kit at full price, really hope it exceeds expectations. Also hope the 3.0's aren't too stiff.

Once the weather clears I'll move the Compressor and Dash cam from Gray to White while waiting for other mods.

Speaking of, I've posted the 17 for sale here:

Thanks for the share Kromealt and the transparency on the 2017. I am sure it will sell quickly. Working on buying my first LC200, have a few around the country identified, just need to pull the trigger (and ask forgiveness from the wife).

Keep on posting as you progress on the 2016 build. There are a couple of white ones in my search. Was one posted up here not too long ago with the bronze method wheels, terra interior, white out of TX that I wish I would have picked up. Nice build.

Glad I found your thread, definitely takes the raptor off the table!!! The 200 search continues (at least when 2016+ prices come down slightly).

Small update from the most indecisive person on this forum...

I cancelled my Icon order after more consideration of digressive and progressive preference which brought me full circle back to King/Fox. Since Fox offerings are limited and I want more than 0-2" max lift, that left me with giving King one more chance but I had to be smart and plan it out. Also, having experience with the standard 2.5 resi clickers that I ran on my 4Runner my primary goal was to avoid the excessive amount of preload needed to hold 2.5-3" of front lift with armor on a 700lb spring.

After tossing it around with King this is what I have ordered:
F King 3.0 on standard 700lb spring (among other benefits, 3.0 is a 15" spring with less preload vs the 14" on 2.5s)
R King 2.5 clickers - I really don't feel 3.0 is necessary for the rear, heck 3.0 is overkill for the front without armor
OME 2723 Springs
SPC UCA - tried and true

Oh and I ordered White Knuckle sliders...Bud was a very close second. I should update first post

I may have missed it, why the switch to the '16? Color preference?

Also, still selling your EVOs? I'm down in Denver.

BAM:

Lack of reading comprehension, thanks!

  • Apparently I prefer to start from a stock clean slate on builds so I know the history and I'm the reason for any wear/tear
  • The White one is in MUCH better shape and hasn't been off the road
  • The Gray one has more wear than I expected - I bought it sight unseen and wouldn't have if seller was more up front with the flaws
  • None of the mentioned flaws are major, there's just enough little things that leave a bad taste for me personally
  • I absolutely love and prefer Gray but pinstripes show like a sore thumb compared to White and the 2017 has a lot of them
  • Lastly, I didn't want to pump an excessive amount of mods/money into a vehicle I wasn't happy with

Here are a few pics of my white '17 I had built up. SDHQ did most of the work on it. Great guys to work with.
I went with the ICON stage 6 suspension. There is a link to my build on their website if you want some ideas.

Hey, I'm in Seattle so a bit far for me to pick up. But I have a question. Where do I get the TPMS sensors? I'm looking for wheels and these may be the ones I go with due to the close to stock offset.

Just picked up a white 2017, heading to pick it up this weekend. Like the look of those wheels with the white. Thanks for sharing the updates!
