Here are pictures of each of the models he offers. The silver aluminum was quoted at $215 shipped and the black steel was $125.
In the picture the black one is obviously not mounted all the way. I am still undecided myself, I like the shape of the aluminum one but would prefer black. I was told email works best to contact him.

I have a alucab expedition 3 tent and a 4x4 labs bumper with dual swing outs. The hardest part of using my tent is pulling the ladder out and sitting it up. Does anyone know if the gobi ladder fits behind a swing out?

That looks really nice! Are there rubber stops/washers for the part that eventually rests on the outer tailgate?
Yes I welded on washers and have rubber stops on them.
By far my favorite! Thanks....... I THOUGHT my ladder concerns were over, but after seeing this one I won’t rest until I have one! Where did you get it?
I like the idea of the steps being on the body right above the tail lights. Granted it is an option outside of the US and the reinforcement areas needed might be a pain to retrofit into our cruisers. Still a simple solution that is out of the way most of the time.

I have the slee bumper. its pretty damn stout. I don't really use the ladder because I have the jerry can basket on it. if you use a roof rack a lot, its a good idea.
I don't use mine much either but when I do use the roof rack it's nice to have the ladder
I have the 4x4labs ladder on one of their dual swing outs. I also have the gas can attachment (not in this photo) .

I had a Gobi and it great almost perfect. Only thing is it only fits the driver side hatch. I wanted the spare in my swing out on the driver side for visibility. So I sold the Gobi and went ladder on my 4x4 labs bumper. The Gobi is simpler and works just as well but the 4x4 labs ladder on the swing out is also great. I use the ladders all the time securing things to the roof.
