Looks good. I used high quality 1/8" plywood for my rear panels and it was really easy with a jigsaw and self-tapping screws (probably would not use screws in a door panel). Then you have the option to carpet, wrap in cloth or vinyl, or whatever. Or maybe glue down some burled mahogany :)

That looks beautiful guys, this is definitely on the list now.

So what are y'all doing for the inner weatherstrip at the top of the door? On my rig it's part of the door panel. Are you replacing the inner door strip or what?
Ditto on that one, I was going to ask the same

I prefer to reuse the existing mounting holes and use these plastic clips. They hold very secure and don't snap or pull out like the stock ones.

Spudman you can use 75 series weatherstrips, they go on with a plastic clip thingo, you have to cut them a little shorter.
Some 60's have a small cutout for the plastic clips-some dont,i did all 4 doors on mine this way-new 75 strips,a couple of my doors didnt have the cutouts, small burring tool fixed that....,
It is in my repaint -build thread somewhere......

I think i ordered like 3 new 75 sets, the short back windows i think i got 4 out of one set of 75 strips,75 windows are long,60 rears much shorter.
I think, few years back but i saved where i could, original 75 strips from toyota wernt cheap,60's wernt available anymore, they came with plastic clips on them to.
Perfect fit when cut to length.....,

Thanks mate

I have a look at some of the old 75 wrecks up here and see what they've got

That makes sense. My doors don't have the holes for clips, which is why I asked. Good info man, thank you.

Easiest way is to get a photo bucket account and upload and use the "[IMG" shortcut copy.

Did the chrome-free 60 series felts get discontinued? IIRC those could be installed without having the OEM door panel in place.

They still have the felt for the FJ 62, I just put in the driver side felt on the inside. It took longer to take the door panel off and on then placing the new felt on the panel. I have pictures but can't figure out how to post them.
