Maybe a little off topic, but I noticed my evap VCV is popping the vacuum line off of the Z port (disto vent to Z port). What could this mean? There is vacuum there while running.

Given the shortage and this odd issue. Thinking of replacing both. Still available?

Reading on another thread about a pfft sound in the cab on startup. I've had the same symptom.

I'll read through the emissions fsm tomorrow and try to figure this out.

Ok guys, my evap vcv was acting up and in my reading I came across this thread. My 62 DD only has one vcv off the top of the charcoal canister. my current distributor vacuum hose setup has one line from the cabin and the other to the air cleaner behind the maf. Does my dizzy need a vcv if it is electronic and not a vacuum advance? I'm puzzled on this one.

No, not needed because gas fumes from the boiling carburetor are not present in the 3FE engine bay.

Quick question about the VCV's - panes 1 and 2 are from the Manual. Is pane 3 (circled) also correct?

I'm looking for one of these right now. Do you still have any available?
Contact CruiserParts in NH... They swear they test them but they will come used and messy. Pretty cheap tho, $10.

Beno will have the new I am sure

i over paid at ccot. think it was 30, its whack that a business would sell a broken vcv, hopefully it was tested.

All my research found the 60 VCV is d/c'd. Here on mud I found that Lexus is an exact swap and was $90+ but my dealer gave it to me for $66 I believe. It was only after I bought it that I found them used via CruiserParts.

note to self, buy three NOW.

Thanks! I ended up going to Toyota near Boise. They met me part way on the price at $78. Costly, but I am trying to get the truck to pass emissions. We'll see if this helps with my high hydro carbons. I doubt the original one worked the whole time I've owned this car.

Beno has replacements. They're identical to the original except one of the ports is turned 90 degrees. Use search for the original post

I think those are from FZJ80's - and I thought the port was turned 180 degrees? I could totally be wrong. I took a chance on an untested VCV from a parts bin for $10... still waiting for it in the mail. The suspense is killing me.
