Ben installed my bumpers a couple weeks back. He is a super nice dude, very accommodating to our traveling schedule. I just felt bad that he had to get a taste of what the rust belt is all about.

Here are a couple pics from our trip. I was traveling with my 6 month pregnant wife so no real off roading, though we did the Dale Road in Joshua tree and after talking to some locals they mentioned it is tore up a lot more than usual. There was one diagonal wash that the bumpers made much smoother. I'll try and see if I can get a shot from my go pro of it.

Oh and I'm pretty sure a high lift jack won't fit with the gobi but I don't have one to try.

Installed mine last night everything lined up beautifully what an amazing bumper and work by Benc.

Some advice for EVERYONE installing this bumper... Make sure you install the connection brackets correctly, they are not the same one is for driver side one is for passenger side, its easy to oversee because they seem interchangeable but they are not! this piece of advice may save you an hour of more of re-work. Also install as much as you can on the bumper before you put it on the truck like plates etc..

I was so happy to see it all together and then go to finish the cherry on top with the gas strut and SURPRISE!!! have to do it all over again LOL!! man I felt dumb....

The entire install is a breeze, hardest thing was the rubber bump stops after the bumper is installed its tricky to tighten them up.

Going to disassemble it today to correct the brackets dang it have to line everything up again!. Will be posting pics soon...
Sorry about that!
Did you happen to look at the install thread? It should address that. Also @Ramathorn15 was kind enough to do a very detailed instructions with pics in pdf that should be available soon!
Thanks Rami!!!
I just need to go through it and make sure everything is correct.

Thanks Phil! It was great meeting you and you wife.
Yes, I have been spoiled so far with west coast vehicles, if I never had to work on a rust belt truck again I wouldn't be to upset :)

Get me feedback asap and I can make changes. im hoping a good write up helps encourage more people who aren't as mechanically inclined to take the plunge. Such an awesome bumper.

Thanks and sorry I haven't gone over it yet! It's been crazy here tying to get as many bumpers done before cruise Moab as possible while also trying to get ready for vendor night for cruise Moab! I'll try and go over it soon.
Thanks again!!!

@benc these look great! Can you give me an idea of when I could have one to my door if I were to order today? Thanks!

Thanks!
Unfortunately I'm still playing catch up after some issues with some of the bumper pieces.
And a crazy winter here in California.
It's probably a solid 10-12 weeks but I'm hopping I can get through them quicker now that the weather is getting better.

^^^ NICE!!!!

Excited to get to where i can place an order, got a bit of other stuff to get through first.

Hi Ben, am I correct to assume the list in the beginning of the tread doesn't apply anymore? Thanks.

It does not.
I should be on track to get all my current orders shipped by the end of June or first week of July! So all the guys going to HIH should have time to coat and install.

That's awesome!
Really would like to have it on when I head to Silverton!
Do you have a set departure date for yourself already for heading that way?

We drove (8 hours r/t) to central Ca to pick up our front bumper last week......and it was worth every minute we spent on the road. Ben is a good guy and a very good welder! The bumper is awesome! I can't believe I didn't take any pictures of the uncoated bumper when I had it test mounted on the truck, but when it comes back from the powder shop I'll have a few. We've placed an order for the rear bumper as well...

Thanks again Ben!

Thanks Gary!
It was great meeting you and your wife!
Make sure to post up pics when it's all done.

Possible Hybrid rear? Steel center and hitch, with aluminum wings. No swingout, and design of aluminum wings possibly tweaked to eliminate swingout hinge mount.

Definitely possible but where do you plan to put the spare?
Unfortunately the spare will no longer fit underneath with the high clearance bumper.
