Here are some quick pics of the swingout brackets, they are a little off but you get the idea, much cleaner look with the angles matching the bumper.

Stellar fab work @benc, love the frenched trailer hitch and 7-way plug. Keep up the good work. You may have be trading in my BIOR rear bumper soon....

Thanks guys!

Hi Ben,
I'm in. Any price yet or available options? I'll pick it fully completed.

Thanks!
Not 100% until I finalize the bumper, I'm shooting for $1200 for the bumper and 4-500 each swingout. That should be right in line with what others cost but you will be getting much more for your money. As for options, most options will be on the swingouts and for the first go at production I will likely have the tire rack and a fuel/ice chest basket. There will be many other options as I have the time. I will update the first page with prices and options when I have it all nailed down.
Thanks. Ben.

I have decided to eliminate the cutout on the corner for the high-lift, I tested it out and couldn't even get the tire in the air, it also looked funny and interfered with how I am doing the hinge. If a lift from the back is required the best option would be to lift from the recovery point with the shackle. The dual sheer hinge will have its own bracket as in the pics above, the pin will go through the bumper and bolt to the nut that will be welded on the underside of the bumper. I am confident this will be the strongest most ridged option currently on the market.
I'm still hopping the bear claw latches will work but will not know for sure until I get a set built and tested. Stay tuned,

Quick question. Does the bumper restrict the size of spare that can be carried underneath anymore than the stock crossmember?

I have a very snug 295/70/18 and I'd like to have both options, swing out and stock locations for carrying it.

I would not cosider this as an option at this point, spare tire underneath and high clearance bumper don't mix well IMHO. It would likely fit but without the stock receiver and bumper the entire tire will be exposed, I would look prett goofy.

I do understand the reasoning behind wanting the tire underneath for dd duties but it's just not doable with the high clearance bumper. One thing I will do on the tire swing out to make it less intrusive for dd is have a high and low position on the tire rack. This will allow the spare to be lowered down several inches For dd duties. This will help with visibility out the back window. The tire can also be switched from diver to passenger side. I have found that having it on the drivers side is best for visibility.

Looking good Ben. For the hinge bracket, did you consider just a flat plat bolted to the top surface of the corner section? Flat plate would be rather strong, assuming the bumper surface is sturdy, and wouldn't need to be formed. Would also make for good removal when swing outs are not desired, with plugs in the bolt and pin holes. Just a thought.

Big fan! I look forward to buying one!

That was the original plan but didn't feel it would give the rigidity needed. Still not out of the question but I'm leaning toward how I have it now. While form is very important to me function comes first. Thanks.

Ben,

Is there a possible option to mount a 4 gallon Rotopax?

Thanks

Hey Guys,
New kid on the block here, been following benc's work for a while, love the bumper, great lines, high clearance, and user-friendly! Not a critique, just a suggestion concerning the exposed bolt heads during departure off ledges, would you consider some type of bolt head protector similar to the ones used in bead locks? Please add me to the list despite this suggestion. (No bumper for you!!!...Lol)
