Anyone who has used the Dissent Aluminum Skid plate with an ARB Deluxe Bumper? Curious if there’s any gap between the ARB bumper and the Dissent skid plate..

Yeah a gap (if there is) from the front-end of dissent alum skid plate and the arb bumper. Do you have a pic on yours? I know if its a dissent bumper + dissent alum skid plate there is no gap and seem less look. I am actually finalizing the arb deluxe + dissent alum skid plate combo before pulling the trigger. Thanks.None. At least not on mine.
Where are you looking for a gap?

Bumping this question from 2018–very interested in these, but want to see if any of the early adapters have seen any galvanic corrosion between frame or hardware and aluminum skids. This probably an unnecessary worry, but hey, we all our special skills...
The frame and steel on my track are in great, pretty much rust-free comdition. MANY of the fasteners are not; two of the three bolts holding on the transfer case shield broke despite a lot of caution and care removing them. Guessing the composition of the fasteners is leading to some form of sacrificial/galvanic corrosion. Thoughts?
Bringing it up because of the aluminim/steel interface. Both metals are very close to each other on the nobility scale, of course, but given the state of my fasteners I figured I'd ask. Is there any concern at all regarding how nice the aluminum plates and steel frame play with each other?
Very interested in the skid plates!
I’ve had them for 2 years or so and no galvanic corrosion. I live in the south but got smoked by salt in New Mexico driving through a snow storm.Bumping this question from 2018–very interested in these, but want to see if any of the early adapters have seen any galvanic corrosion between frame or hardware and aluminum skids.
As a former series LR guy, I know galvanic corrosion is a real thing...ugh.
My guess is if one avoids stainless hardware it shouldn’t be too bad, provided one’s frame paint is in good shape—but anyone seen any?
YesDoes the Dissent skid plate set bolt directly to the factory locations?

Good to hear. I was between this and Slee aluminum for skid plates, but the Slee requires drilling the frame and installing rivnuts, which I do not like. So I'm leaning towards Dissent now. I don't want to drill any holes. It would be nice if the Dissent website had drawings or photos to accompany each product so it's a little clearer what you're getting and what's included, the text only "menu" isn't super helpful.

I can answer the third one.Just wanted to confirm before I order a set:
- Are the square holes in the mid skid for greasing the drive line or does the skid need to be dropped for that?
- Can the frame weight stay installed with the skids or does it need to be removed/relocated?
- It seemed earlier in the thread some holes needed to be modified. Is that still the case or is everyone able to just bolt it right up?

Looks like the skids provide complete coverage of both cats. Is that accurate? Hard to be certain with the distortion of the wide angle shots.
Any concerns with heat dissipation?
