The overall quality and fitment of the parts is excellent. The only thing so far that I don't like is the SAE hardware. Not that I'll likely be doing a lot of wrenching on the bumper after the install but the bumper and swingouts are the only thing on the truck that aren't metric.

Couldn’t agree more! Luckily most of it is just 1/2” I believe.

Well, I used 3/4, 9/16, 1/2, and 7/16. 19mm and 13 mm will work for two of them.

Very close to being done! Just tail lights and camera relo.

Lol I jinxed myself and hit a pretty big snag. I pulled off the center section to relocate the tow plug and noticed significant cross member interference on my 08. I guess there was a change between model years.

For reference here is @radman

Notice outside of the hitch is smooth. Here is mine

Notice the extra I dunno what that is. Anyway, it will not work as is when the trailer plug is in place unless you cut out that “bracket”

I think I figured it out but in the process I removed the bumper center section and now it’s misaligned enough that I’m going to have to pull the wing arms tomorrow and realign everything hopefully for the last time — then I can start in tail lights like I intended.

Also in the process I nicked the cable for my parking sensors. Adding that to the list.

Parking sensor wiring is from the devil. I cut like three on my install . . . Can you just cut the offending bit of brace out with an angle grinder? Looks like mr T decided it wasn’t necessary.

@tbisaacs, looks like you got the trailer plug to work w/o cutting that "bracket/brace"? My 2013 LC has the same brackets. Wonder what year they eliminated them?

Yes I cut most of it out. Would have been much easier to do it first had I known.

No I cut it. Had to notch out with a grinder.

Trimmed the bracket thing so I could relo the trailer plug.

My rig is a 2013 200. I had to remove the plastic wire protector on the trailer plug to get it to fit. No way it would work with it on as the wire need to bend either up or under the frame. I routed the wires up, over the frame.

Couple notes notes for other installers:

1. You can take the center section off with the wings installed but you can’t get it back on (at least I couldn’t). The issue is getting the captive nut plates reinstalled as you can’t get your hand in there with the wings on.

2. You have to install the trailer plug before you install the center section.

I wish. This is take two.

Oh dang. It got me too. And for what it’s worth I could not get center section on with wings on either. Those captive nut sections are a pain

Yeah, the big thing to know is if you don’t put the trailer plug in the center section your you’re taking it all apart to get it in. The good news is that doing that isn’t that hard. I spend more time trying to avoid it than it took to do it.

Since this thread has turned into a drool-fest, I’ll save all the details for a .pdf that I’ll eventually post to #1.
In the meantime here’s some more glamour shots. The winch control mount is new and took me longer to figure out than i’d like to admit.

The screws that come with the light kit are not long enough to attach to the bracket with the included rubber backing. Do you just delete the rubber backing or get longer screws?

Am I putting this together wrong?

By the time I got to the lights I had mixed all the hardware - but I definitely recall two lengths of the button head hex screws.

So you used the rubber backing?
